Aemeri Rune

I was doing the level 27 quest out of Asoki port and for some reason even though I had the inventory space for it I got told the Ranma flowers had been sent to my mailbox. Sure enough after handing it in I went back to the village and a duped version of the flowers was waiting for me in my inbox. I spoke to Blitzed about it but he says he's unsure how it happened... I wouldn't know how to replicate it myself as the inventory slots were open, so I'm unsure if I need to fill them then find a quest item or not

Was trying out using a sealed scroll from my inventory while chatting with Ryoai. Whilst the animation was playing it showed the animation for "Success" giving me a scroll above my head. Yet when I opened my inventory the slot was empty... I went back to Leaf to see if I could try the NPC and got nothing. It was only after spamming "/mapcache" a few times that my chat log showed "Sealing failed! Blank Scroll turned to ashes..." I've seen the failure animation before and you can clearly see the scroll disintegrate as a part of it. So I'm really confused why it played the success animation then after told me "you failed". Not to mention it not showing up in chat logs in the first place... I'm also using the latest client version via the auto update system, so it's not like my client is behind or anything.
