  1. Alright this is a end of the year survey, it's going to be extremely simple and I hope someone can figure it out.... HERE GOES! FIRST. Pick a number between 1 and 100 SECOND. How did you find us? One lucky person who guesses the correct number and answers the question will be rewarded with a Gold Ninja Membership provided by myself as a celebration of the Holidays!
  2. It's come to my attention that a majority of you are looking for an application to resize your windows to larger/smaller sizes? Well here's a helpful and virus free application that will enable you to resize your client. 3. Go with your heart, my friend.
  4. Lets get things started! Alright so let me get right down to this, as of today I've decided to hold my final Golden Shinobi Competition of 2015 and more accurately the Alpha Phase of NinOnline. To some of you this might now seem like much, but to me this is as exciting as the new Call of Duty coming out every year. The competition starts on October 20th 2015 and we're going… for the first time ever have an in-game competition of wits and strength. Overall this will help many of NinOnline's newcomers learn a bit about the map, the game and even it might even encourage a few of you to work together. The Game Starting on October 20th, the moment the gates open to the glorious world of NinOnline we'll be on a bit of a screen shot scavenger hunt. I'll be posting very vague details of places, npcs and even players/developers. **** READ THE HIDDEN CONTENTS AT THE BOTTOM FOR MORE INFORMATION The rules are simple, 1. You're to figure out what place/npc/player/staff member I am vaguely referring too through your own uninhibited means. 2. Take a Screen Shot of your player in the general vicinity of the place/person/thing. 3. Send me a Private Message of ALL of the places/people/things I have reffered to. The first one to send me an accurate collection of screen shots will win. The Prizes Of course, what is a game without prizes!? Staff, Developers, Game Masters, and Moderators* are not to participate as entrants as some of you might very well be the person I am targeting as a notable person. The first player to complete the accurately collect all the screen shots will win either of the two following; • A Golden Shinobi Membership • 15 Dollars in Nin-Credit Runner Up Prizes include; • Ryo in various amounts (Through the National Bank of Yoshi will be grinding Wolves, donations are welcome) The Targets? As of October 17th 2015, I'd like to announce that the release of the first of nine targets... I understand this gives some of the member community a bit of a disadvantage, however; it can be safely assumed that those of you without current access to the game can research the first few clues, and safely procure the required screenshot upon launch day. The First Clue, Target 1 Fulfill the dream of the number one, hyperactive, knuckheaded ninja... sit in the chair where his desires rest.
  5. Well then... Atleast we have our "sanity" back again
  6. Told you... But no you didn't want to believe me @Atrox
  7. I've really been following 'Nin' for alittle more than nine years... dang

  8. Alright so for the past couple days, I've been working with a friend of mine to transfer an old Dragon Ball Z game that I made on BYOND over to Unity. I have prior experience coding in C++ due to learning it both before enrolling in college and also learning it in the more traditional sense in my previous two semesters of college. Long story short, I've been reading every piece of documentation known to man on the topic of Unity and how it works with Top-Down 2D RPG style games. Of course during these past couple days I've learned a lot of about the Unity that I honestly didn't even know about until I decided to jump into it's Development Community. In this forum topic I'll post constant updates of things that I encounter, for those who are interested. I doubt anyone is but I'm pretty proud of myself for stepping out of my "BYOND" Game Development comfort zone. Anywho, here's to my new journey! 15 July 2015, After much discussion with some of the previous staff of the game titled "Dragon Ball: Anthology" we agreed to drop Dragon Ball from the title and simply call the game "Anthology" and begin forming our own story and character designs. The game will be loosely based on the Dragon Ball Universe while retaining it's distance from the actual canon. The Introductory Story was set as; **Each race listed in the story above is further detailed in more of our design documents, however at this time all story and names of said races are subject to change. The rough draft of the Affe's First Area was completed, along with the placing of Polygon Collision Boxes. A basic camera script was written, allowing the dynamic adjustment of the camera speed, range of view and the camera's focus target. The first in-game screenshot was also taken, despite the only available thing to do being walking around the map and testing for collider box misplacements. Hopefully someone here takes interest in my little summer project, if you're a developer yourself and Rory didn't already snatch you for his team... Feel free to hit me up here in my PM Inbox, if not then enjoy keeping up with my progress over the next few weeks and months!
  9. This is actually how I view things when it comes to my RPvP Dragon Ball game....
  10. Lets be a bit more realistic for a few seconds... When you're playing in game have you ever equipped an item that removes another item in a completely different area of your characters body? Kind of like how a headband (forehead) won't stack with goggles(face) because they're both classified under the type of MASK? Well without breaking the game too much I think I can suggest a safe alternative to what I call gear type overwriting. First, foremost and about as simple as it's going to get is that we need cosmetic equipment slots which allow us to stack multiple items of the same type. The one in the regular slot giving their regular stat bonus while the piece of equipment in the cosmetic slot doesn't yield ANY of it's stat bonuses. That's really all there is to it... EXAMPLES... Goggles and the Forehead Protector Shino Coat and the Flak Vest Forehead Protector and the Anbu Mask. I'm sure some of you can come up with your own combinations too... ANYWAYS.... THIS IS *pause* SPAR-.... NIN ONLINE
  11. Anyone here going to be logging in tonight?
  12. This game has seemingly come a long way during my time at college, although the development may have slowed down in speed, I'm incredibly happy that I stopped by the forums today. @Rory posting that update with the beautiful sand village art makes me wonder about what else he's been working on during his personal time. Now that I'm done with college for the semester, I'm going to popping in and out.... Hopefully before my next semester is over, we'll see some game time and I'll get to put some more work into the Wiki Page Yoshhhhhhhhhhh

    PaySafeCard

Never heard of a PaySafeCard but it sounds useful in it's namesake... so why not ;P
  14. Not sure exactly what the new system will be like, but I added a few more suggestions and hope someone finally takes a look at this lol
  15. Going to try and keep this thread updated throughout the course of Alpha 3, because who needs a lot of repeated threads over and over? PATCHER SUGGESTIONS As opposed to checking every single file to make sure it's there EVERYTIME you run the game why not have it confirm a serial number/ID number assigned to each version of the source? And only update if the IDs are inconsistent, checking the files everytime the launcher runs is effective though.. So pay this no mind if it doesn't sound like a good idea. GAME SUGGESTIONS The default method of chat should be something that only broadcasts to the general vicinity as opposed to the entirety of the map. And /G would remain for Global, while changing /M to be for Map (INB4, "LETS GO RAID THESE GUYS" *five seconds later they get ambushed and killed*) Maybe change the quest text to something less... black? The Substitution Jutsu reserve timer should scale based on Intellect or Chakra, so you can hold it for a godly amount of time based on how beefy your jutsu-related stats are. Maybe add Chakra Scalpel, a medical technique that debuffs an enemies speed/attack speed every time you hit them while it's active.. It would be active for around 5 to 7 seconds? A wider variety of weapon summoning for Weapons Specialists! Monster Area Variety! Maybe a very slight chance for an 'Elite Mob' to spawn that is slightly stronger than the other mobs in the area.. Of course it'd pretty much just be a generic area mob but on steroids or something? Monster Progression! Maybe every three maps could have the same archetype of monsters? Like the first three maps have Arachnids maybe the next three can have a bunch of Canines or Forest-Type animals..(Wolves -> Boars -> Mountain Lions) Ability to set your Reverse Summoning Technique to a Reverse Summoning Scroll in -some- major locations, so you can go back whenever you need to without having to travel a damn fortnight. Body Flicker Technique should have an alternative function when you don't have an official target, maybe to teleport you a few tiles ahead of where you are currently located LAST UPDATED: 13:38, 17 JULY!
  16. I've added and changed a few things, but in regards to all the comments about the lack of information... There isn't -much- information to add, and the way I want to add the information that can be added would violate the NDA that @ issued due to me wanting to screenshot, crop and post the Item UI... But I'll get to work immediately, for ya'll Nazi's
  17. Nin Online Wiki! This is a little something myself and a few other members of the community have been working on since the beginning of the Second Closed Alpha Test. It's kind of a 'dropbox' of sort for almost everypiece of information that you could ever need when you're playing Nin Online in the past, present or future (SEE DISCLAIMER BELOW). Of course they're a bunch of nooks and cranny's that we may be missing when it comes to information, but trust me when I say that we are working diligently every hour that the game is live and some afterwards to provide you with the most accurate source of Nin-formation that we possibly can. But of course I'm posting this to let it be known that theirs an epicenter of information... I am posting this to let you know that there is hope outside of endless searching and surfing through the mess of forum topics! BE FREE FROM YOUR SHACKLES MY BRETHRE-... *cough* wrong place.. wrong time... Thanks my fellow Ninja! Yoshimitsu **** NO NDA WAS BROKEN IN THE MAKING OF THIS POST, ALL SCREENSHOTS AND PICTURES WERE MADE PREVIOUSLY AVAILABLE PRIOR TO NDA BEING ISSUED AND/OR WRITTEN
  18. Stop.. Yoshi time!

  19. 1) Yes, yes it is and you need to be prepared for a Lie Detector.. 2) CAKE FOR FOOD ITEM! VOTE 2014! 3) Interesting, 4) You've proven yourself to be an extraordinary salesman.... You will be hearing from my people, if they don't exist.. You will be hearing from me.
  20. I also have a few questions to ask before I commit myself to being a typical Yoshimitsu... 1) Exactly how long is Alpha 3 going to be, and will it be more than mob-killing? 2) Will there be cake involved? 3) Can I also make a contribution that isn't publicly listed or credited to myself? 4) Aside from the change of the normal mechanics, implementation of new Jutsu and equipment is there anything there worth rushing for?
  21. 99% of my playing time will now be spent on the main menu.
  22. And suddenly I feel freaking ancient..
  23. I might be over committed, hell I might even be insane. However, I'm sure the devs can handle anything that's thrown at them if they don't make the mistake of letting negativity and impossibility cloud their minds. What's a few bucks to a project I've followed since I was a pre-teen though
  24. I noticed as of recently that I haven't posted anything on these forums in well over half of a year, the momentum of the development died down for a bit when Rory went off to fulfill his Military Requirements and everyone seemed to lose a bit of interest with the closing of the Open Alpha Phase. Of course this isn't to say that there won't be another section of Alpha Testing or not, but as myself only being a normal member I can't even comment on such things that the staff would be able to accurately address... Well! The point of this topic is to let you guys know what exactly I've been up to in my absence and where this leave my "Gold Member Donation" competitions and random 'Nin Buck' giveaways *SPOILER*... As of a month ago, I have enlisted myself within the Army of the United States. This is to further aid myself in the departments of discipline and to serve the country that I grew to know as the land of 'Free' and home of the 'Crepes'. Just kidding but I seriously did enlist with full intent on completing a 20 year commitment, with a decent shot of commissioning. This will not only double the monthly membership donations but will allow for my to give away packages of around $10 'Nin Bucks' per 14 days... You need not concern yourselves with that as of yet considering I still have quite a ways to go before I can actually call myself a Soldier. Now I leave you with this Question... Where are you now? Super Stoked, Yoshimitsu
