Well then, this issue is something that I'm sure at least 25% of the game community is dealing with right about now and is probably conflicting their minds between playing this game or just diving off the cliff into the abyss of BYOND again. It's not much a serious issue for those of you coming from GOA, NFF or other PvP-archetype games but to some of us it's bothering us a fair amount. About 100% of all the people that I've personally invited to this game are wondering how you are going to accommodate their needs as role players. They're wondering if they will be allowed to remove themselves from the general and mindless PvPer population and keep the game in a near-constant 'RPE mode' where they will be subject to playing the ENTIRE life of their character out with the other RPers. But honestly, I'm not sure how many other people are feeling this way. Us roleplayers are probably the extreme minority when you add up the GOAers, NFFers and *bleep*. Personally I'd just like to leave no stone un-turned and want to know how you're going to fix this 'conflict' of sorts.

MUBI!

At first I read this and was like, 'wtf no' but it actually has some valid points as to how PvP should be. But to make things fair, there should be no PvP in the areas of D-Rank and below missions considering canonically there were no dangerous aspects of those level missions. Other then that, let people slaughter each other for EXP xD EDIT: But make it so that if you kill someone a certain amount under your level you get a de-buff or something, because preying on the weak is for pansies.

Jumping would be nice, but there is already a way to run in the game which kind of makes up for the lack of the burst-style dash xD

Four people have come exceedingly close, and I feel as if we will not have to have a Third Round! That final hint kind of gave it a way, but considering the fact that it only left 9 Ninja to be chosen... I'm going to prioritize first guesses over second chances. xD The winner is Nigel for guessing exceedingly close and having decent forum activity. Unfortunately for Asce who has only made posts in this topic as opposed to being an active part of the community, which isn't held very highly in my eyes... STAY TUNED THOUGH, THERE WILL BE ANOTHER COMPETITION NEXT MONDAY.. AUGUST 12th! BE THERE OR BE SQUARE, and REMEMBER... To be an active part of the community! Double Post Please close this

I feel as if you guys are used too the BYOND way of thinking, sure macros are nice but having hard-coded commands is always better because it makes explaining the game to others so much easier. :/
-
I am NOT going to tell you guys how far he/she got simply because it gives the answer away almost immediately. None of you guys have thought outside of the box and keep showing me main stream characters, or huge group pictures. I'm trying as hard as I can to be reasonable with choosing the difficulty of this competition, and those of you who are saying that this is too hard to be real/worth it aren't realizing that $20 Dollars isn't something that I'll spend on someone who clearly wants just a hand-out. The ONLY hint that I will give you is that the ninja in question does not come from the Leaf, Sand, or Sound Villages. But thanks to this hint, EVERYONE who previously got the answer wrong will have a second chance and those who have yet to answer still only have one chance. You have 12 hours from me posting this post, meaning at 12:28PM EST, this competition will reset.

Old Anbu masks were more boss then they are currently.. wut?

I have several, lmao

That's the spirit!

I wouldn't spend 20 dollars on you guys if I made it too easy, but trust me. SOMEONE is going to win this, especially since I plan on doing a contest once a week.
-
One try, unfortunately.

Incorrect

Round Two has an unlimited time period, unless someone else got the character first.. which no one has.

The game is down so much, because it technically hasn't been released yet unfortunately Anyways... Welcome to Nin Online my comrade!

Yes this is real, but also.. Read the first post.

My signature contains something I did this morning ^_^

But there's the thing, going to fight WAY weaker monsters will significantly lower the chance of it dropping. Like a level 50 going after a level 10 drop will be 0.005% chance of it dropping instead of 5%, there's always counter measures... Also I just used those as examples, but I'm sure there will be equipment that award stat bonuses. All of the Inventory Interface hinted towards it, lol

Upon realizing that I had not previous made a suggestion about this I figured that I might as well make a suggestion pertaining to the various uses and pro-cons of Quest Starting Items! This is essentially just me stating other ways that they can be used and implemented by the developers. Jutsu Quests! This is a pretty obvious use but perhaps it could be possible for certain humanoid monsters or regular monsters to drop quest items that start a quest with a jutsu scroll and exp value as a reward. For example, Everyone here starts as an Academy Student so why not give each Academy a training area with 'monsters' in it that have a chance of dropping a quest item that yields a low-level academy jutsu? This however would imply that you do not -require- these jutsu to become a Genin and is completely up to the staff. Yea the above usage is pretty rough on the canonical knowledge that you need to know the three basic jutsu in order to graduate from the academy, but I think that in this game early on in levels Jutsu won't be the prominent focus of any natural minded 'MMOer' Equipment Quests! This usage of quest items isn't a practical as the previous suggestion but why not have it so you can find rarer equipment items by completing rarer quests? Are your +1 STR gloves not as good as your friends +2 STR gloves? Then this usage is for those of you who like the little details of things! Example, A level 15 Rogue Ninja NPC has a chance to drop a quest-item that yields a pair of rare gloves! The above usage is just a possible use of the quest-item suggestion, there are possibly hundreds of ways that they quest-items can be used in Nin-Online. I'm just here to get your creative minds rolling and working on something that will make everyone enjoy their experience.

Here's a very interesting twist on the fact that this game is a 2D-MMORPG, why not make it so that certain monsters will drop a quest starting item such as a 'Summoning Contract' where you have to defeat a certain amount of a certain type of monster(IE: Wolves, Toads, Scorpians, Slugs, Snakes, etc) and after defeating that tier you will receive another quest starting Item as a reward which will require you to defeat the next tier of that monster. The quest would turn into a chain-quest of sorts leading up you receiving the final quest which requires you to defeat a boss-type or elite-type that type of monster and upon defeating that monster you can complete the chain-quest and get a Summoning Jutsu Scroll which gives you the ability to summon the bottom tier of that monster and allows you to get quests from certain NPC to learn the next tier of that summon and so on. Just a thought though. Rory Whack

For those of you who don't know me, my name is actually Stephen and this really makes naming this topic a whole lot easier.. But to be honest I figured I might as well post a work in progress, but keep in mind it's REALLY rough and C&C is appreciated.

Round Two has nothing to do with numbers, ^_^
