Alright. Please do not take this to heart. I wouldn't honestly be able to call your profile average even. In fact it's pretty lacking. I will say one thing you did well was keep your character sort of "plain." Given his age and rank he shouldn't be some super genius or super character which I want to congratulate you on. However he still needs to have some sort of oomph- something that gives him originality and a creative edge while still not being like a large majority of the site's population. (I've read some profiles and the characters have perfect stats, their geniuses, they're super strong, etc. First, the game hasn't come out yet so it's unlikely their character will be that way. Second, if you're going to be a genius you cannot RP poorly and describe it poorly. It just makes for a bad, corny, and unbelievable character.) I don't consider myself an asshole though, so keeping up with the statement of my dislike and what was a redeeming quality, here are some tips: [*]Originality. You don't want to be Sasuke Uchiha. You don't want to be a Naruto clone. You want to be you. You want to be creative and a character- but at the same time you don't want to go overboard with that edge to a point where your character becomes unbelievable. [*]Depth. Sakura has the depth of a piece of paper. You don't want to be a Sakura. You want a character who feels deep, real. For instance, remember being 10? You weren't so simple minded. You had tons of thoughts. Tons of beliefs. You acted many ways. It would be hard to truly describe the workings of your brain in four lines. Channel this ;] [*]The music does create a feel of hype but it's too over the top and I think it hurts the character because it winds up taking control of the app. [*]Reality. An academy student would not have even basic elemental mastery. Remember they only serve to master basic ninpou in the academy. This also goes for things like "natural born strategist". It's hard to ship that too an academy rank student with barely any abilities yet- or a strong history to back this reasoning up. [*]The Verse. You do a decent job of fitting the verse. (I.E. Your character isn't named Jack Cold, or Arnie Armhammer, or something that is totally not the japanese/naruto universe.) I like how "Thirst of Blood" fits Kirigakure's theme... this isn't really a specialty though, I'd actually put this and his goal into something like a "personality." [*]Your Affinity specialties as a mechanic is kind of broken and makes no sense. Over all, your simple steps away from making a marvelous player profile. ;] Hikaru, stay classy. (These tips apply to anyone.)

Since it came out. I'll have to warn that I'm -that shaco- though. I troll the enemy team and my team D:

Your signature :/ It gave my page load time cancer.

Now all that character needs is a wit stat.

Quite nostalgic. One question- does Robin have anything to do with Nin Online still?
-
Yeah. The reason it was done in photoshop was this->

Permission Masks. I know there's a mod or way on forums to allow users to choose which permission to identify as. For example, I could identify as a normal user while still having the golden shinobi permissions. I'd set this myself via the Control Panel and choosing to display my rank as a normal member.
-
Could you guys perhaps add the ability "turn off" or "mask" or Gold Shinobi name/Rank?
-
I RP a lot and it's a missing ninja organization's trailer.
-
Yeah, you get a normal headband Aido.
-
I animated an opening/trailer for a friend completely in photoshop frame by frame. Due to lack of better video editing software however I had to use windows movie maker to put it together and a nasty font. (I need new fonts :/) Whaddyah think tho?

Well I don't know whether there's some sorta transmog, cosmetic system, etc. Hell, he might make it scale to a decent item statage for each level you hit.
-
Isn't it cosmetic?

It could have been literally anything- from Mrthunder to epicsolo to Hayate even. And yeah, it was 2006ish cause I was around 12 and wanting to make my own morpg in those days xD I'd have to look up what my Elysium name was but I'm pretty sure Elysium has disappeared. When I saw this re-posted on Eclipse I got giddy like a school girl.

I guess I should formally introduce myself. I'm Hayate. I used to lurk on the IPB 1.3 forum way back when... yanno when this project originally broke my hear </3. Glad you guys are back though.

See, that's black and white logic. "You're either this or this." I'm not saying see the good and cling onto it. I'm saying see that even bad things can produce some good. As such a "Uchiha" fan I'm surprised that moral story went completely over your head. @The World is black or white because you're either poor or rich... yeah, middle class says hello.

I wouldn't go as far as to say he is a good person but he does have valuable message. Detroit went bankrupt because it was and has been for the past few decades a severely impoverished city. It's huge and metropolitan but it was suffering. The problem was people had to take loans and the city had to use money it didn't have to try and keep itself up which just made things worse. It's a vicious cycle, poverty that is. You have fiscal conservatives saying "let them fall on their faces, let the city burn to the ground and rebuild" but it doesn't work like that. You just can't let millions of people go hungry and homeless and without education. Either way getting to the absolute bottom of why things happened with POLITICS set aside is what needs to be done so we can learn from this experience. It's sad but politics are going to muddy any experience we could garner.
-
Blanket statements are one of the first signs of stupidity- rather what I'd like to call "blindness". To say something is useless or someone is an idiot or a fool is wrong. You're not accounting for the things we can learn from experience or the good that people do have to offer. You have to open your eyes, widen your perspective, and search for these things... They won't just show themselves and shake your hand.

Somewhat. I mean, there is another route. Everyone who plays in Alpha/Beta can get Account Bound "Heirlooms". (Similar to WoW) Once this ends, since I imagine all the villages would be out by then, the game gets wiped of everything but Heirlooms. The Heirlooms would be almost a beta test/alpha test award, and that way even though things get wiped we'd all get a faster leveling experience in the appropriate villages, so no one would be to angry.
-
Yeah, that's all exactly what I'm saying. @Rory I guess that works, I'm still gunna have to level in a village I have no interest in to achieve it though but... it's all for the better I suppose.
-
Yeah. It all hinges on whether or not there's a reset before Beta.

On release we will only be able to play Konoha and Suna? (Correct me if I'm wrong on that part.) Inevitably there are plans to add Kumo, Kiri, and Iwa, but not within the first few months. This leads me to ask for village transfers. WUT? Is this madness? No, it's fairness. It would be unfair to give the villages available on start-up such a leg-up. They will have so much more time to progress. And more so than fair it will be dead boring for those of us who want to be part of a certain village. So, I'm proposing whenever a new village is added that we be allowed to transfer to it if that's where we wanted to be. Basically, this allows us to play with the rest of everyone else and not get left out for the first release and allows us to level and progress, then easily transition over to the village we actually want to be in- that way no one gets stuck waiting forever.
