God damn Rory. Behave yourself! Something i've noticed though. It doesn't seem like the characters have a "got hit" animation. They just stand there like nothing happened when taking damage. Not much of a big deal but I think it would be really nice if characters flinched or something when taking hits.

I appreciate all you guys have done thus far and look forward to more updates. Wish I could help more on the coding/ pixel art of things but sadly I have no skills in those areas. I'll keep giving my feedback and suggestions as things go along though! =)

Maybe some demaged terrain after the explosion? Scortched grass, cracks in the earth etc

These are pretty high quality stuff man. The one for main menu feels a bit tooo...peacefull? Maybe something that can capture the shinobi feel a bit more? Either way im loving what I've heard so far

Yeah that is what I was trying to explain in my orginal post. It has a 7 second cooldown and the buff for it last 7 seconds. Even if you use it and nobody hits you, you can just reactivate it again for another 7 seconds. I don't know if any of you guys played Naruto games before on byond with substitution techinuqes but somethign like that is just ridiculous. I'd like something no shorter than 30 seconds honestly. Substitution shoudn't be something you just spam to avoid damage but should be used tactically to avoid problamatic situations. -

I'm loving the frequent updates from both of you guys! One thing I want to talk about though: "This Jutsu allows the user to have a short term buff that lasts 7 seconds which the cooldown is also 7 seconds." Does the cooldown timer begin as soon as you activate the techinuqe or when you get hit? Either way I think that is prbably too short of a cooldown. A free dodge once every 7 seconds just seems a bit too much. -

Sorry to hear about your real life struggles, Rory. Just keep your head up man and never stop fighting. New content looks great. I'm always amazed by the level of artwork done by you guys. Will there be other masteries besides those for elements?

Seth, I apreciate you guys are looking at the community and asking for input regarding this and here are my suggestions: Why even follow the Naruto format where one element has to be weak against something and strong against the other? I honestly don't see how a gust of wind is gonna beat a boulder or even lightning! I understand that you guys are trying to branch out from the Naruto realm more and make the game more unique. Drop the rock-papper-scissors approach and make each element unique and have different values dependingon what it's up against. For example a strong enough breeze will put out a small flame where as a weak breeze would make a great fire roar stronger! So the way this would work in the game is if a basic wind jutsu is used against a stronger fire technique then the fire jutsu would grow stronger. However, if the wind jutsu is stronger than the fire jutsu then the flames would be extinguished. Another example of this suggestion could be used in fire vs earth. If the fire is strong it can melt rocks and turn them into lava. If you throw a bunch fo dirt/sand on a small campfire you will extinguish it though. Even in something like water vs fire. If the heat is too strong the water will evaporate. Now this doesnt mean that just because a jtusu is stonrger than the other it would win: A jutsus strength would be based on the rank of the ability, how much the person has mastered this skill and this ninja's ninjutsu abilities. So for example if 2 ninjas use jutsus of different elements that are of the same rank but one is more skilled in the art of ninjutsu then he has a greater chance to overpower his opponent. I'm sure we could come up with a formula to work things out if you would be interested in an approach like this. We could still even use the mechanic where a jutsu strentgh is calculated based on what its up against before what is mentioned aboved takes place. Such as fire is only 50% effective before the calculation of ninjutsu str etc is added on versus a water ability. But against something like lightning it would be at 100% and then the calculations are done. Another suggestion would be to add more elements than just hte main 5. Surely we could in coperate things such as ice, wood, magma, dark, light etc into the mix. Hopefully you review my suggestion and give me a reply, Seth!

That sounds great. Reminds me of a browser based game i used to play 5+ years ago called the theninjarpg. Had a Naruto feel to it but all the bloodlines were original and thier were unique jutsus in it too. All inspired by Naruto though. I love what you guys are trying to do with making the game original. Hopefully the rest of the communnity does too

Glad to see you around! I joined during your absence so you have no idea who I am but i'm liking what I see so far! All of us are totally itching to see what's next from you guys. No worries we're patient! I got a a few questions for you regarding branching out the content to be more original from the Naruto series though: How will villages work? I'm guessing each given an original name? Or maybe Land of Fire, Land of Wind etc? In regards to clans and bloodlines. I know they are probbaly not a pirioty right now but when the time does come will they all be given original names and their bloodline abilities(sharigan etc) renamed? Are there any other plans you currently have gameplay wise to divert fromthe Naruto system? Such as switching up elemental strentgh and weakneses as mentioned before.
