You can click on players to select them instead of using the key to cycle through targets. You can also hold right click and use it to rotate your character in place, instead of using the keys to do the same. Right now that's about it. The best use for your mouse in-game is to hover over trees and buildings to see if any players or mobs are hiding behind them, since the indicator to select them will pop up when you're hovering over their position.

The puppets are buggy, inconsistent and come with an unusable Fort buff. There is room to be skillful with them and use them in unique ways, but these are for the most part more gimmicky than anything. The reality is the puppet's only truly strong feature is water wave, and without it I fully believe Clams would be a better teamfight summon than the Grand Puppets. I won't say water wave isn't OP, because I've seen it bring 3 50+'s from full to dead or close to it in one shot, but I will say that it's the only thing keeping the Org buff afloat. It doesn't need a nerf, the whole puppet needs a rework. The premise of Black Rain's recent GF nerf post was to make GF more skillful and less BS, not necessarily weaker. I would argue the same for the PB Puppets. Of course we won't get those kind of re-works any time soon, so in the mean time I'm strongly against a nerf. Unless Mist is willing to support a Kiba rework, then maybe we can work something out.

Reduced Rev time and added routes around choke points are top tier suggestions.

Bubble needs it's 5th jutsu to do for it what Wind Claw did for Wind, and all will be well.

Leaf Needs A Weapon Like Other Villages!
Imhotep replied to question's FireDuck6969 in Suggestions (Old)
Not only should Leaf get a weapon, every village should have multiple weapons and weapon specialization masteries. The game desperately needs a way to add variety to builds. Right now the only serious hybrid options are WMs. Sand's 40 Int WMs with a Crystal Fan switch is a good example. Advanced will be a big update that brings lots of new options, but given that the precedent for tools is already set, I think it should be looked into sooner rather than later. Off-topic: There's about 2-3 hours a day where the whole server is dead. 4-6 of prime time where every village can be active. In the remaining hours only Leaf, and sometimes Takumi Orgs, can put together a larger group. 3-4 vs 8+ is a frequent occurrence dealing with Leaf outside of prime time. What's the deal with Leafies catching amnesia and forgetting they had a numbers advantage after every fight? Ya'll have consistent numbers. It's not a bad thing necessarily, but you do. 8 players, two of which are AFK, might not seem like a lot but it is when the other villages have 3 players between them. -
- Play the masteries you think are cool, not what people tell you is strong. - Take it easy with the grind and don't burn yourself out. It will take you a long time to get to max level even if you play 10 hours a day. Be friendly and try to get 2-3 friends you can play with every day. Doing everything on your own can be difficult. - Don't be afraid to die. Go out on hunts, get into fights, do solo missions even if it's hard. The quickest way to improve is to get lots of experience. - Read some of the guides on the forum, use the wiki and the site metanin.metanin.xyz to make your builds. - Take your time figuring out where you want to play. No point playing in your favorite village if you don't get along with anyone there.

As far as I can tell the non-element masteries are getting all the love with advanced in mind, so that they can keep pace. Those 3 masteries are way over represented exactly because of weapons and interactions like this. Either put out some balance patches or drop Advanced ASAP cause something's got to give.

The second Feast of Lightning change specifically sounds really fun and unique.

The current system is mostly abused by vets, who are the same people with multiple Lvl. 50-60 accounts. I know people with close to 12, if not more. So I'm not sure that issue is solved, it might even make it even worse. If I get to a 1k bounty cycling through a few alts/org mates, then I have a permanent 1k bounty bot as long as I kill 1 or 2 alts after every BI. Also, it's very satisfying to head out to meet a group that's dominating the DZ and scalp their bounties. All in all, I'd rather keep the system as is and have a separate leader board of some kind, cause the idea of having one is pretty cool.
-
@xxanax The whole point of turning SZs into DZs is to try and force good, meaningful fights when villages/orgs are playing scared for no reason. The scenario you're talking about will happen once or twice a night if we're lucky, when all the villages are somewhat active. What happens the rest of the day? The game's hard enough to have fun in without an active group, then we start adding incentives for people to camp offline villages to farm bounties and WW. Besides, raids aren't really secret 9 times out of 10. Map switches get trapped up anyway and we all know when Orgs are out hunting. Ya'll know how it is. There's already a reward for raiding. Set a time (or a rotating schedule) that compromises as much as we can for the different time zones, and we can get the kinds of fights we want without giving out rewards for camping. Maybe you won't camp low pop/lowbies in DZ, but we all know there's people here that don't care bout good or fair fights.
-
Nah, this ain't it. Sounds like a good way for lowbies to get camped for 12 hours straight every day of the week because their village prime time hasn't started yet. I'm more in favor of what Ainz suggested before; organized events with specific times when the war cannot be avoided.

Decrease cast time of pillars by 0.2 seconds.
Imhotep replied to question's Burnfinix in Suggestions (Old)
The game has plenty of ping imbalances that we can do nothing about, and don't complain about. This case is different. An entire mastery's central combo not working for players is too big of an issue to overlook. Any high ping player has at minimum 20% less damage output because of it, for an issue that shouldn't exist at all. We're not asking for big changes to combat so that ping plays less of a role, there's a whole bunch of shit we can't do because of ping and we'll live with it, but a mastery shouldn't be ping-locked. Tell me I'm being unreasonable to suggest that. If not a reduction in cast time, then a change to Cutter to be 2.2s. I challenge anyone to make a case for why Lightning is too strong to be given a 0.2 second stun increase. -
I like this idea much better than the ranked ladders suggestion. I'm all for keeping the PvP open world but incentives are necessary, you can't rely on players to fight just for the sake of it. Look at how much good the raid points have done for promoting player interaction, before that you only ever raided so you could brag on Nin Gen. With this, villages can invade to get kills and bounties then attempt to break into the village for raid points. Defenders can be given incentives to defend and suddenly everyone wants a piece of the action. Pair this with the monthly/weekly/clan missions suggestion and you actually have strong reasons to rally as a village. By far the most compelling aspect of Nin is the large scale fights but if you leave it up to the mood of players that are maxed (or close to it) they won't happen very often. @ana primal Lowbies are gonna get harassed but it's even worse when they hit 50 and realise it's 90% SZ spars and DZ ganking from then on. Plus it's on rotation, so the villages not getting hit are going to be even safer than before. The major problem for new players is the grindiness/lack of story archs to help level, not the enemies. The coolest part of my time as a lowbie was my villagers coming to defend against hunts.

All attacks auto-turn now. Even unarmed. If you're using a Fan rn its purely for knockback.

Great idea. Should be seriously looked into as a workable solution to the leveling problem. -
The Most Braindead YET Greatest Suggestion Ever
Imhotep replied to question's Nik in Suggestions (Old)
Just because the game has a little P2W doesn't mean it should just go full P2W, Chief. I think most people agree the leveling needs to be revisited in some way, but not like this. Edit: I agree Stat Resets should be available in game, similar to World Boosts though. I don't see why not. No one's going to buy it over just paying 10k for the Nin Cred but that's a separate issue. -
Please buff the overall experience gain
Imhotep replied to question's Kuroi Merlin in Suggestions (Old)
Agreed. There isn't enough content that low level players can realistically engage in. Once you're 35+ at least you can start to PvP in groups. Before that you're just grinding to Toads. Nin has a lot of meaningful challenge as is, I don't think it needs the mega grind too. As a suggestion: Either more content is added at these early levels e.g. story arcs, professions, mentorship systems. Or, mobs have their exp increased and teaming penalty is less severe but the range of mobs you can get exp from is decreased from 10 to 7 levels. Which will force them to move to tougher mobs sooner. The grind doesn't stop vets from making alts. If we can just get newbies to 40, a lot more would stay. -
I don't think the Social Logins are working on the new client yet. Register with your email like usual and try again.

This is the kind of quality harass that makes Nin worth playing. Good luck, Champ

WM doesn't need to get any stronger mostly because people pair WM with other top-tier masteries. Med/GF/Fan in particular. All 3 of these have the same thing in common, instant flicker combo set-ups. WM has a lot of pressure with homings that are only consistently countered by flicker-cc. It's not as oppressive as the other 3, but when paired together it's excessive. Unless and until there's combat/balance changes that move us away from flicker-combos and instant-cc then any WM buffs are just going to make the meta builds even harder to deal with. And if flicker-combos are nerfed/removed then WM is going straight to S-tier, no buffs required.

Sounds like a WoF nerf. Implement ASAP please. Kek

Nevermind. It was literally just patched lmao. Run the game again, patcher should automatically update and you're good.

I think it's a fairly common bug on the new client. The long way around would be to download the old client, make your characters with all the info there then uninstall it and play on the new client. Also, welcome to the game. You and your friends should roll Sand. #SunaSupremacy

keybinded Sage or senjutsu and tailed beast modes not sure if added
Imhotep replied to question's SAITO SENPAI in Suggestions (Old)
Since you asked for ideas: What Nin lacks, that most MMOs have, is large-scale group based objectives. Villages/Orgs can set times to go raid or hunt but it has very little in-game support. This has got a lot better with Raid Points and WZ bosses, giving players a reason to log on (Good job on these btw). Tailed Beasts are a good opportunity to introduce more flash points for player interaction. A weekly war event, winning village gets to put together a raiding force and tackle a dungeon. Nin is PvX after all. Akat do not participate, their role comes later. Various mobs as usual, with a Tailed Beast as the final boss. If you beat the boss, every player present with the 'Sealing Jutsu' has a 10% chance to seal it (in themselves). I actually think Sealing Jutsu should be low stat but high Lvl. Req (scaled up to whatever max is at the time). Otherwise you're just gonna get Jinchuriki/Med alts that no one plays on but are used to fish for a Biju every week. No one really 'dies' in this game so a Jinchuriki suffers 2x BI Timer (also, for the love of god, make BI stack) but doesn't lose access to their Biju jutsu/form/buff, unless it's extracted by Akat. Akat gain increasing buffs, making them harder and harder to stop. It may even require inter-village co-ordination, which is exactly what happened in the Anime. This is the Akat win condition. Villages that constantly seal new Biju also become Akat's biggest target. Jinchurikis reset every 6 months, and the cycle restarts or we'll get inactive Jinchurikis and ruin the whole flow. The rest of the Rogues are gonna feel left out but they need their own Arc and systems honestly. Takumi doesn't fit the village v akat mould.
