As someone whose been slightly invested in agility taijutsu during my play time, I feel that the nerfs were very light. Taking a few points of base damage away is not even the difference of one or two additional melees being landed. Tai is in a weird spot right now because of the existence chakra scalpels and tai med which makes it a nightmare to balance pure tai or tai + any mastery that's not medic. Giving an already strong tai mastery the incentive to go higher chakra does a few things: Chakra scalpels already has pretty beefy base damage compared to agi weapons @ a level 60 players chakra pool and it scales better now than higher agility builds because of the nerfs and changes to agility scaling / weapon attack speed this year Going high chakra allows you to constantly pressure on a tai which is already designed to constantly cancel casts and chase without letting up. In my opinion before tai can be looked at any deeper there needs to be a way to address chakra scalpels effect on tai without hurting chakra medic players. In a world where anyone can pick up 90agi 130fort 80chk tai med go brr build and succeed it's kinda of demoralizing trying out any other taijutsu combinations. Yes I know rory is aware of agi weapon + chakra scalpel stacking and we'll just have to wait for the fix down the line so that agi weapons can rebalanced. At the end of the day tai is a joke mastery and you're no better than a gentle fist running for combo.

Maybe balance the grand puppets strength by taking away its player collision, if they can't physically block players they are less of a defensive tool just having a wall of them up on a thin map ya know. Might give melee more opportunities to play against grand puppet users without feeling zoned out.

Make it a 40 chakra cost, 0.5s run cast, 2x3 horizontal swipe in front of the player that sliences the opponent for 1 second with a 0.5 second self stun.

Don't forget there's almost always sparring going on for players to improve, ask questions, and gain matchup knowledge. The best place to train for DZ's and tournaments.

The weapon of the HIdden Leaf Village is the ability to have a constant stream of new players to naturally grow and replenish their ranks as current villagers leave or reset. Look what happened to mist a few months ago after the vast majority of its players left or went rogue. It was a husk of a village that struggled to gain members for a time.

Quick demonstration of the difference real time in a video. You can see that against mobs the claws have their true attack speed, but vs players it is drastically reduced for some reason. I just want to know why they aren't consistent and if the animation is the problem for the hit register.
-
So I noticed while using the Demon Claws taijutsu weapon, the attack animation that plays is like a sword item's overhead slash animation state when attacking players, and then the normal tai punching animation state when attacking mobs. If it was a style choice I understand, but with the sword animation registers about about half as many attacks compared to the punching animation which ruins the viability for the item in my opinion for pvp. This becomes blatantly obvious with higher agility as when attacking players the demon claws hits register about once every 3 animations. Here are examples of attacks while in Youthful spring to help illustrate the difference between attacking players and attacking mobs. Thank you for any clarification.

I can't really speak on the abilities of many of the players on this list due to not having any experience against them. These rankings are my matchups with recent and regular 1v1 spar partners at Takumi / Toads. (May not be 100% accurate since it's been a while since I've sparred some of these players)
