Toph's journey began in the Land of Wind, specifically the Hidden Sand village, where she was born into a noble clan. Her family treated her like a delicate doll that could be broken easily due to the fact she was born blind. They saw her as weak and vulnerable because of it and she played the role to keep them happy.





Whenever Toph was sad or claustrophobic from holding up this false appearance she'd run away and hide in a cave where Giant Scarabs lived. This was the place that Toph began to learn Earth Jutsu and began her training to become a very strong warrior capable of defending herself.





When Toph was not training with the Giant Scarabs, she would enter tournaments as The Blind Bandit behind her parents backs. This was where Toph would put her training to the test and would consider it sparring whilst also fighting for the title of the Sand Villages underground Fight Club.. Though Toph was never allowed to talk about the Sand Villages underground Fight Club.






Not being able to ignore the facts any longer. The Kazekage noticed Toph and her abilities with Earth Jutsu and enrolled her into the academy against her parents wishes. However, Toph was proud to become a Sand ninja and in fact, was excited to test what she had learned and prove she was not the weak little girl her parents thought she was.
