  1. Fantastic example of a loaded question. The real one looks like this. "Do we relinquish current freedoms to potentially increase safety?" You seem very concerned with preserving lives though. I could compile a list of things that are more likely to kill or injure you than a terrorist attack, but it might take you a few days to read it.
  2. Yes, I have read it. It's only 1,323 words long. That said, it's not the Declaration of Independence which defines the rights of the people in relation to the United States government, it's the Constitution and Bill of Rights. When you're older, you may have different thoughts about whether you'd rather have more freedom or less freedom.
  3. @ So would you rather have fewer rights, or more rights?
  4. Actually you wouldn't be able to tell them no. Government policies will occupy the spaces we retreat from when the people allow them to encroach on their rights. If it isn't stopped in its tracks, then random searches of your home, your vehicle (TSA is already doing this) and your place of employment will become commonplace. Trying to stop those searches could result in your arrest. I don't want to live in a country where I don't have any privacy. It's shocking that so many people have been fooled into believing that it's for their own good.
  5. @ In addition to what has already been mentioned, it is a blatant violation of your 4th Amendment rights. If you approve of unwarranted surveillance of your phone and computer activity, then you also approve of men in suits showing up at your door to search your home. Are you okay with that?
  6. I agree with Rory in that a minimum character requirement is just an inconvenience. People who want to spam will just work around it, so the post count reset punishment is probably a better option. In summary, the feature won't be added, but getting warned twice for spam will get your post count reset and you will be a "Newbie" all over again. There is no benefit to having a high post count other than unlocking new emblems. Some people put value on that, but I personally put value on post quality and your overall helpfulness in the forum community. We have a five-star rating system in our profiles, but I think a reputation feature would be nice.
  7. Approved this just so I could quote it. What don't you like about the idea? @Uchiha Obito
  8. Coincidentally this was what I was originally going to post, then I decided it was too complicated and I'm too mean anyway. Whatever works though. Also: gud idea enjoy here
  9. I've been deleting posts where people simply quote someone else or just say something non-constructive. That said, I think a more effective way to get the point across is to reset peoples' post counts to zero every time they are warned for spam.

    Zimmerman

This already has racism written all over it. If the case is a topic of interest to you, go watch the trial.
  11. Never speculate; always find a canonical source! http://www.mangapanda.com/93-39-19/naruto/chapter-34.html
  12. I think the real winner here is Nin Online; it gained a substantial number of players through this contest. Besides, your swords will not protect you from my wrath...
  13. I can confirm, I was friend.

  14. Some of the Japanese names sound so cool though! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyDOTF-6aO4 I'd be willing to write grammatically-correct translations for both languages if a toggle feature is something you're willing to do.
  15. That album is missing a few chapters. Here's the whole collection. http://www.sendspace.com/file/okh63t If someone can upload them to Imgur, that would be great. My computer isn't feeling up to the task right now apparently.
  16. Since Kabuto was Orochimaru's spy, it can be reasonably assumed that nothing he tells the Leaf genin is the honest truth. Those manga pages essentially prove nothing. That said, I have no problem with Sound being a village. http://www.mangapanda.com/93-74-16/naruto/chapter-69.html
  17. Coincidentally I have been teaching myself Brazilian Portuguese for a few years now, on and off (mostly off). Yagura is fluent in both Portuguese and English though, so if we end up having a large population of Brasileiros it might be worth having someone around to translate. Google trend results for people searching Naruto: http://www.google.com/trends/explore?q=naruto#q=naruto&cmpt=q
  18. @ I'm on a heavy routine of my own design at the moment and am maintaining ketosis through the end of the summer. Once summer is over, I'll be shifting back into glycosis (probably dirty bulk of peace) and running the 636 with a few isolations that I like.
  19. I can confirm, I even lift.
  20. Administrator has been banned for violating forum rule #1.

    Samurais

I'd be on board to play a samurai character if that option was available.
  22. The reason this whole ordeal doesn't sit well with most United States citizens - myself included - is because data monitoring is a violation of our constitutional rights, in particular the 4th Amendment: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." It is not the government's job to protect us, but the constitution's. Violating it under the pretense of protection leads some people to turn the other cheek, but you have to wonder where the line is drawn. What else are they willing to take away from us for our own good? I won't even get into everything you're more likely to have happen to you on US soil than be a victim of a "terror" attack (lightning strikes, shark bites, hit by train) or the fact that this surveillance had been going on for quite a while before Snowden, meaning it failed to stop the Boston bombing among other things.
  23. Hi everyone, My alias is Crosswise! I've already gotten to know a few of you, and some I knew prior to joining (Stylishninja and Rory) It's a pleasure to be part of the Nin Online community; the game is looking great so far and I'm very excited to see the finished product. I'm 23 years old, a gym addict, and a weekly reader of the Naruto manga. Best character of all time? Strangely, I knew Rory (a little) from another MMO that he and I played: GhostX. He started up a website for our crew which was very classy and convenient for me on which to compile several user guides, and this board is looking even more aesthetic! I have the great honor and responsibility of being the first forum moderator for Nin Online, but I know you guys won't be breaking the rules anyway. Once again it's nice to meet you all, and feel free to ask any questions. Crosswise
