Nagare was a amazing ninja at his time in the leaf village, He was a kind, clumsy ninja but was serious when the time was right, he was loved by many and also hated by many in the village. Nagare grew so strong to the point were he was ranked as a A-Rank ninja which was amazing at his age and for someone so unexperienced. Nagare grew so strong that he was feared by some of his friends, He grew so arrogant about himself and his powers as a poison ninja and as a medical Ninja, Nagare became so cold hearted after a while where it came to the point as he would kill any ninja on his missions that came infront of him even if he didn't need to kill the person, People feared Nagare on his own village and some even hated him. nagare chose to leave his village and become a rouge ninja for a while because he didn't know who he was and he was trying to find himself and find who he was. After Nagare decided to leave the village he didn't want to just normally leave.. he wanted to kill 3 ninjas from his village to show the real hate he had for his village. Nagare killed 3 Genin rank ninjas and then he flee'd. On his way to Takumi Village ( the village for Mercenarys and other rouge ninjas ) Nagare met one of the higher ranks of his village, The ninja was a Jonin rank and was very experienced and the ninja specialized in Water/ Taijutsu a very rare combination of masterys but was a deadly combination, Nagare fought the ninja but he stood absoloutley no chance. The ninja had already heard about what Nagare did to those 3 Genin ninjas so the Higher rank ninja had no mercy against Nagare. Nagare was left bloodied on the floor with heavy injuries and was left to die, Luckily Nagare had learnt a new healing technique that was called Cell Regeneration, He used this technique on himself and his injuries were less serious after that. Nagare stayed as a rouge ninja for a couple more years and he had trained himself hardly and had learnt Earth release, Earth/Medic combined was strong but not the most strongest.
