This Week's Event "Signature of the Week" Description: Signatures are a good way to display who you are within the community, and how you create yours is very important. Signatures should showcase what you represent as a Ninja in Nin Online, so for this contest, we want to see who can do that in the best way possible. So whether you need to update your signature or think your current one can pass the test of "Best Signature", then enter into the contest to show it off. To enter, just simply make a statement that you'd like to enter your Forum Signature into the contest. Signatures as of 12:00 P.M. EST this Sunday will be considered your final submission and will be judged as is. General Rules Post your entry in this thread by making a reply. You are only allowed to do 1 submission per week. Your entry should be 100% your own work. Plagiarism is very serious, you will be disqualified and warned. You may use any form of art to express your entry (specifically for art-related events). Your entry MUST have content related to Nin Online. Whether it be characters, symbols, logos, community relation, or anything. Just make sure it is related to Nin Online! Your entry may not contain any offensive or rude comments or imagery. The entry should follow all community guidelines found here. In the event one of our prizes is a Gold Ninja Rank, Gold and Silver Ninja will not be eligible for those prizes for obvious reasons, but may still attempt for other prizes. Your entry should look like you put a bit of effort into it. (Stickmen, messy and quick sketches, etc.) (specifically for art-related events) Should a tie occur between submissions, all who tied will split the winnings. Prizes $20.00 Nin Credit $10.00 Nin Credit $5.00 Nin Credit Special Dates Entries begin immediately. Entries will close on Sunday at 12:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Tokens are currently questionable. Masks will be tradable. I want to follow Rory's original holiday system for event currency and items, but I'm not familiar with his feelings on currency. Currently I'd say no to tokens and yes to masks. -- UPDATE Some event times have changed, we are opening the (American timezone) afternoon for the Kage to run village events so there'll be a fair break in between the early morning GM events, and the Ninja Dance Party and the Trials. Apologies for any confusion or inconvenience, it's just going to help us organize the GM events better this way. Can't wait to see you all there!

Dear Ninja, The Community Manager and the two current Kage, @Deathmall Sasayaki and @TetsuHawk, invite you on March 24, 2018 to join us in celebrating the world of ninja in a full day of festivities and celebration. The ninja festival is a 24 hour event that will begin with the opening ceremony and end with an advanced placement-style PvP tournament. Throughout the day, there will be GM hosted events that you may participate in, and the Kage will have 1,500 Tokens each to divide up as prizes and host their own village-specific events when there is no other events happening to keep the day flowing and active. They will be required to fairly host events to give out these tokens, if they do not use all the tokens, they will be requested to return the amount unused to the GMs (so encourage them to host plenty of events). This festival, we'll be having a new exclusive item called the Dragon Festival Mask. This mask can be obtained for 1,000 Festival Tokens which are a token currency exclusive for the ninja festivals, and may be exchanged for event items at the "Festival Shop" in each village. The shop will be available at 12:00 A.M. EST and will be removed at 11:59 P.M. EST on March 24. Festival Token The festival token is engraved with a dragon's head, and can be used in any future festivals, so stock up - even after you purchase what you want. To obtain these shiny little tokens, you must either participate in events or farm the following mobs: Wolves/Coyotes, Scorpions, Tunnelers, Scarabs (Big/Small), Tigers, White Tigers, Snakes (Bottom and Top), Bears, and Snow Wolves. The drop rate is similar to that of the primary item they drop. For example, a Festival Token will drop at the same rate as snake venom in Snakes, or fur in Tigers. There are plenty of options, so make sure you get to farming! Dragon Festival Mask The dragon mask comes in two colors: Red and Black. Each one is 1,000 Festival Tokens. There will be a present box in the square of your village to claim these masks and other items for tokens. Throughout the day, we'll be having events for you to participate in. All events are 100% Mandatory Peaceful unless stated fighting can be done. Any attacks on the event are subject to jail time. Opening Ceremony - 12:00 A.M. EST We invite you to join us for the first hour to be apart of the opening ceremony that your Kage and I will be hosting to initiate the festival. This ceremony will happen at every festival and any roleplay announcements may be made here by your village officials. This is also a time for you to ask questions, learn more about the event, and roleplay with other ninja. Early Morning Delivery - 3:00 A.M. EST to 5:00 A.M. EST 3:00-4:00 - Leaf Village Delivery 4:00-5:00 - Sand Village Delivery In the next hour, your village will be instructed to deliver a message to the GM hosting the event. During this delivery mission, the defending village may prevent you from getting to the mission location (so long as they are not camping anywhere near the mission location). Anyone who gets to the GM within the hour will receive 100 Festival Tokens. The event will end at 3:59 and 4:59 respectively. (Mission explanation will take about 5 minutes, and you must deliver the correct message.) Hide and Seek - 12:00 P.M. EST to 1:00 P.M. EST For 1 hour, Game Masters will be rotating locations and giving out hints for Hide and Seek. Each ninja to find the location first and find the GM will receive 100 Festival Tokens (only once per person, if the same person keeps getting 1st, then the following ninja to find the GM will get the prize). Ninja Dance Party - 6:00 P.M. EST to 7:00 P.M. EST Every ninja may gather at Tanzaku Quareters (near the entrance of the castle by all the trees) and join us in a temporary Discord channel where music will be playing and you may dance around, socialize, etc. Random Festival Token prizes will be given out throughout the dance party, and we'll likely try to give it to the most lively dancers. If you need a guide on how to dance like a professional, some fellow ninja will help you learn da wae: Ninja Festival Trials (Pre-Registration) - 7:00 P.M. EST to 7:30 P.M. EST Begin gathering near the Tanzaku Quarters entrance to the Castle (same place we danced at) so that we can gather information. You should beforehand acknowledge that there is a small fee of 500 Ryo to enter the Ninja Festival Trials. Ninja Festival Trials (Registration) - 7:30 P.M. EST to 8:00 P.M. EST Game Masters will begin collecting your entry fee, and teleporting you into the waiting area. Ninja Festival Trials (Fights) - 8:15 P.M. EST to N/A The rest of the night, we will be sending you into bracket-made matches against other ninja to show off your skill. Advanced Placement To make things even more exciting, these placement matches will be within certain level ranges, and two prize pools are available for both brackets. 1st Bracket: 30-50 2nd Bracket: 10-29 (must be level 10 to enter) Prizes (For Both Brackets) 1st Place - 1,000 Festival Tokens 2nd Place - 750 Festival Tokens 3rd Place - 500 Festival Tokens All participants will receive a participation prize of 75 Festival Tokens. This prize will be given to you upon paying for your entry into the tournament. Village Specific Events Your Kage will be announcing their own events whenever they'd like beforehand on the forums/discord, so be watching out for those events! Future Ninja Festivals The Ninja Festivals mark the season changes: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. So four times a year, we'll have four different festivals with a new exclusive cosmetic which can be purchased with Festival Tokens. So if you have left over tokens, make sure to save them for future festivals! Summer Festival - June 23, 2018 Autumn Festival - September 22, 2018 Winter Festival - December 22, 2018 Best Regards, Jessica

This is the likely case.

Yes, I wanted to address this, but it kind of went hand in hand with the "To free up any confusion, these are the main links you should refer to for rules and ToS" part simply stating that if a rule is there, you're eligible to be punished for that. Administrators and Game Masters also have different moderating styles, not rule sets - this means some Game Masters may more easily overlook a violation than the next. We're trying to limit how often this happens, but just understand that violating a rule in those posts is subject for punishment. If a rule does not exist in that post, and you're banned for it, your appeal will likely be in your favor. If, however, an Admin believes you are to be punished for something that is not in the rules or terms of service, it will be communicated, and the rules will be updated. I will do my best to ensure the rule post stays updated. Thank you!

Dear Ninja, As many of you may know, I am the new Community Manager of Nin Online, and with that I will be continuously doing my best to improve the community by working with the Administrators and my fellow Game Masters, Moderators, and of course you guys, the community. It is an honor to be able to help improve a community I've been a part of for years now. Now, let's get to the good news! I will be releasing Community Updates/Newsletters about once a month or twice a month depending on how busy the month ends up being for our community and team. The updates will serve as a way to explain to you what's going on in the community and what you can do to be a part of it, and hopefully provide a way for the community to interact with me and other community staff. Forum Contribution Posts We'd like to continue to promote the use of our forums by bringing your attention to an opportunity you can take if you contribute helpful content for the community. Pinned Posts, Forum Contribution, etc. We'd love to see players contributing more and more to the forum through the addition of helpful guides, fan-made projects, etc. We have seen a few recent ones such as @Niti's Official Item Value List and @Origami Heart's Nin Online Beginner Guide. These posts help the community a lot, and are generally worth featuring to our community. So if you come up with a bright idea for something that you could contribute to the community and maintain, we'd love to see it, and if we believe it will truly make the lives of our players easier, we will feature it, and if it's important enough, you could even receive Silver Ninja for the contribution. Discord & Village Chats The Official Nin Online Discord has been an unreliable source for villages to communicate privately and confidently up to this point, making the villages resort to other methods (which is 100% fine), however we want to obviously promote the use of our Discord for village use so that all members of the village who make use of our Official Discord can interact with the Kage and other villagers. We're not saying to stop using your alternative methods, but that this is a fix to make the village chats more reliable and useful for village leaders. With this new update, we'd like to improve all of that, make the Discord feel more useful to our village officials, and give you guys more options when it comes to the village sections on our Discord. We also have heard you about moderation, and village channels now have a dedicated Discord Moderator assigned so that they may peer-moderate your village's channel. Moderation will not be as strict in the village sections to allow for roleplay, but they will be treated the same, such as any OOC offenses can still be moderated. (Not all staff members/moderators will have access to your village channels, only if they belong to that village.) Village Categories Instead of just having the three different channels, we are going to give the Leaf, Sand, and Missing villages a whole category to themselves. The only people who can access each category will be the assigned village members (you can request a Game Master or Moderator to move you into your village role). Each Kage and Council Member will be assigned a role which will give them access to post in the Village Announcements channel and Kage will get access to a channel to contact Game Masters or Administrators. Then, of course, each village will have it's own Voice Lobby which will now be restricted to village ninja only. More voice channels may be requested if the Kage believes it is not enough. Village Announcements This is where the Kage and Council Members can post announcements for their village, only the Kage and Council Members can type and send messages. Village-specific events may also be announced here by Game Masters. Missing Ninja will have no announcements channel as they do not have an affiliation. Village Discussion This is a discussion area for all of the village members. Village Voice Lobby This is a simple voice channel that is now 100% exclusive to people with the village role. If more voice lobbies are needed, we can work something out! Village Roles Kage - This role is only assigned to the Kage of each village. Missing will have no Kage. Council Member - These are the official members of each village's council. Leaf Villagers - Leaf Village Players Sand Villagers - Sand Village Players Missing Ninja - Exiled/Rogue Ninja Village Role Placement In order to receive your role for your village you need to request it in the #support channel on Discord by posting your Nin Online profile link to prove your village status. Beyond this, Kage may decide your role change depending on if you do not belong in that village or have been exiled/gone missing. The Game Masters will do their best to ensure people are being responded to so that we can have accurate role placement for this new update. Event Updates & Plans These past couple of months, you may have noticed we have recruited a few Game Masters. With this increase of In-Game staffing, we hope to see a lot more events and community interaction. We are doing our best to provide consistent events, and even some surprise events. We also want you to know that we are constantly trying to get feedback to improve our events and trying to figure out what events work and when to host them. We understand that for quite some time, events have been very cruel to some timezones. We want you to know we are doing our best to figure out what time works for most of our players without asking players to make sacrifices for certain events. As we increase the amount of events, we will use trial and error to determine what works and what doesn't. Your concerns have been heard, and we are going to work to improve! Holiday Events As the year goes, we would like to host as many holiday-specific events as possible, as they are easiest events to decide on. However, Holiday events can be quite difficult as we want to implement items, updates, and more to accommodate for these events. We hope to be able to do this every holiday, and maybe even add more as we go. Aside from recognized holidays, we also want to host some Ninja World specific events, which we don't want to spoil too much right now, but more information on events like these will be arriving in the coming weeks. These are events that may not be holidays to us, but for Nin Online, they will be scheduled in accordance to the yearly calendar to provide more exciting content for you to enjoy. Weekly & Bi-Weekly Events As you have noticed, @Kanno has begun a Bi-Weekly PvP tournament event and @Jessica (myself) has started Weekly Community Events. These events are being implemented to provide consistent events throughout the month. We'd also like to start having Game Master hosted Roleplay Events, which are events where Game Masters will direct a roleplaying session. A big one we do that everyone is aware of is the Chunin Exams, however, those can only happen so often, so we'd like to host smaller events that can happen weekly to bi-weekly. We hosted one last weekend called Village Invasion, and it turned out really well. We saw a lot more players online, and people seemed to roleplay very well. So with that cooperation, we'd be more than happy to host more events similar to this such as Village Invasions, Village Escort Missions, Village Recovery Missions, etc. As we develop plans for these events, we will release announcements for when they will be held. Upcoming Events If you are not aware yet, the 4th Chuunin Exams are coming up, and we hope you can join us for them. Please click here for more information! Quality of Life Updates Merged In-Game Rules with Rules & Guidelines post. People have been having a hard time locating a rules post made by @Stephen as it was in the Discussion board, but we have merged that post's rules into the Official Rules & Guidelines post. To free up any confusion, these are the main links you should refer to for rules and ToS: Rules & Guidelines Terms of Service and Privacy Policy Monthly Chunin Exams Announced! Rory recently announced that we will finally be doing Chunin Exams monthly. This is something players have been wanting for quite some time now, and they're finally here! Monthly Chunin Exams Best Regards, Jessica

Don't forget to check the Weekly Community Events thread at 1:00 P.M. EST for the next event! You might like what we have in store for you!

Likely to help you test different stat builds with ease. Just a tool to help you out so you don't mess up your stats and have to buy a reset!
-
We hope you enjoyed the event, more to come in the coming weeks and months!

Just a couple notes! I added that there will be blessings during this event for the villages not in their current invasion event so they can use those (and it will discourage raiding as raiding is not allowed on the village in the current event). Also, there is a chance you might not defeat us. Yes! We aren't just going to hand over the win to you guys. So if you're thinking only a few should be there to help, you're very wrong! Make sure to tell all your village mates to be there if you want your Kage to possess the village reward. Both of the enemies have to die for this to happen, and you only have about 30 minutes to do so before the enemy will flee. Hint: The two eventually split up, so you may need enough to split your village in half! Just follow your Kage's orders! Good luck!

Dear Ninja, Tomorrow, the ninja world will not be the same. At 3:00 P.M. EST to 5:00 P.M. EST, all of the villages (excluding Tanzaku) will be invaded by Emiya and Jessica, two high level criminal ninja who are in search of a peace that they believe can only be obtained by destroying all of the governments within the ninja world. Ninja! It is your duty to protect your villages. Report at the official event times and be ready to defend from the incoming threat. These two criminals will not have any mercy, and are very powerful that it may take a while to defeat them. Ensure you listen to your Kage and village officials for defense and offense strategies! Event Times for Each Village Leaf Village - Sunday, Feb. 18, 3:00 P.M. EST Sand Village - Sunday, Feb. 18, 4:00 P.M. EST Takumi Village - Sunday, Feb. 18, 5:00 P.M. EST (players from Missing, Sand, and Leaf may report to Takumi to participate in this event) Event Rewards To obtain the event rewards, the village must successfully take down the threat. This should not be difficult if a good amount of the village participates, so we recommend ensuring your village is populated at the time your village gets attacked! 5x World Blessing per village (given to the Kage to use when they'd like) 1x World Blessing used after the Takumi Village event by a GM (since there is no village leader) There will also be World Blessings given by the Game Masters during each Village Invasion so that the other villages may use that time to level and use the bonus experience and discourage them from raiding during the Invasion. Do Note: Raiding during the invasion is subject to jail time, and the GMs will jail you if you raid during the invasion. Wait until the announcement that the village destroyed the threat. Warning: The Game Masters will be using buffed items and stats to make the event feel like a real powerful threat to the village. Certain players may end up getting one shot if they cannot handle the attacks. We will primarily be attacking in the central area of the village and the outskirts of the village (if the event goes that far). Best of luck ninja, Jessica & Emiya

I think like if there was like a limited rebirth it'd be cool, but unlimited rebirth would not balance.

Awesome I added it to my signature now, so I'm having faith you'll keep it updated!
