The Orochi Ichizoku ("Orochi Clan") is a reclusive Clan within the Shinobi World. Located in Otogakure no Sato, they gather and collect an assortment of knowledge from all around the Shinobi World. The Clan specializes in Hebi style Jutsu and Techniques, as well as posses the Kekkei Genkai Dokuton.
Children of the Snake God, Yamato no Orochi's Yin side, the Orochi Clan is part human, and part snake. They have lived for quite a long time in the depths of the Earth, never daring to venture to the surface at all. During their time underground, they began to adopt all the abilities of snakes, while still maintaining their human form. This passive way of life was broken by the young clansmen by the name of Orochi Duka, who wished above all else to see the surface, do to his human side constantly yearning for it. In that time there was no official "Clan", though they all practice ninjutsu and developing strong set of skills. With help of his younger brother from his mother's side, Orochi Kobura, Duka sized the competition and began to clash with every other possible candidate for the title of 'Lord'. He would justify it by simply explaining that he was doing it all for the good of his kin, and also for his own, personal dreams. After the night known as "The Awakening of the Basilisk", among the snakes and snake-humans, Orochi Duka and his brother Kobura took the reins as the Supreme Warlords of the Snake People.
Several weeks after, the Orochi Clan was born.
Snakes were very much amused by this move of their humanoid cousins, to the point that they even took some role in the future shaping of the Clan. After some time, as the records show, a child was sent to the surface to grow up and live amongst the humans. This deal was made by the Orochi Clan and the two dominant clans of that time. While the child grew, the two brothers were dead and on their way back, changing there skins and completing the 'circle' of Snake's Rebirth. The child whom was sent up to live among the humans, turned out to be a beautiful and powerful human being and a splendid Shinobi, yet his heart was tainted by the human's thirst for power and by his own desire to unlock more of what he was capable of. Only one could help him, one of the Manda snakes assigned to him from childbirth. King Snake always hated the child for that fact, and considered the job humiliating.
The child turned into a Shinobi who held not the guidance of his true clan, the Orochi Clan.
Times have passed, and now the Orochi Clan continues to grow strong. Snake Lords are multiplying due to their numbers, with their only desire to return once again to the surface world to seek out mystical artifacts and ancient, long lost knowledge. The Shinobi went on to take in many orphans and training them in the ninja ways, giving them a home to defend and giving him the opportunity to allie & observe other ninja villages such as the Leaf Village through his people.

Personality: Kind and gentle on the surface with great interest in ninja history and medicine. On the inside it's the complete opposite, Rui is cold, calculated and out for blood against those who destroyed her clan.
Likes: Bitter sweets, dissecting scorpions, Danger Dangos.
Dislikes: Sweets, mercy, weakness, prideful nin and show offs.
Nin-Style: Rui has a favoritism towards toxins that can cause paralysis and poison, but that is only a last resort. Rui's main approach is earth release and crystal release a kekkei genkai.
STATUS: Currently, Rui is carrying out C rank missions for the Leaf without a team, but they are just errands. Collect this, deliver that, find this and survey there. No one has taken Rui into a team or under their tutelage, but Rui hasn't made an effort to gain a mentor or join a team. The secret hatred she harbors might lead to a tough decision or a wonderful one.
The Way of the Ninja World
The way of the ninja world is a cruel one, from the purpose of ninjas to the way they live their daily lives. Ninja are raised to be sharp, skilled, and cunning. in order to defend against something like that, measures are taken to surpass all others. To be sharp you are trained to always be on guard, your mind will never know peace. To be skilled you must train endlessly with out complaint, without rest or you fall behind. To be cunning you have to sharpen your mind, outsmart others, be 3 steps ahead and guard your mind with lies
.As a child you are born into this, you don't have much of a choice, and your superiors are all masters because of the ninja way. So how do you know if they love you? if they actually care about you and your growth as a ninja, can they really trust you and help you surpass them? they could be lying, they could be using you, you can never tell. Being a Ninja is never trusting anyone, not even your superiors. You obey them because they are stronger, you obey because of consequences. You have to get strong to make choices and to survive this Ninja world, only to discover death would have been a blessing in disguise.
Rui is a victim of the Ninja world, her reality is a lie within a truth that is also another lie, in another lie. Everytime she thinks she has found the truth, every time she thinks she can put her mind at ease. She finds another clue that the truth she has found is false, it's not worth knowing the truth anymore to her. It's about making something by herself, the satisfaction of knowing what you made is what it is because of you, not a lie or someone who could be a liar. The only way to get stronger is to take risks, the bigger the risk the stronger she will get. There is nothing riskier than becoming a Ninja criminal, for freedom the prize is being hunted.
The Lies We Live
Fortunately for Koyo she was smarter and less desperate to go for the cheese, instead she was the type to wait it out until some poor desperate fool sprung the trap. Then it was just a matter of collecting her reward. Even so, she was easily influenced and convinced that the world was divided into two sides by her father. One side, the surface is made of lies and aesthetics; while the other side is made of truth and humanities ugliness. Because of this, she wore a mask on the surface made of lies while plotting to gain an advantage on the surface made of truth.
The plan was simple, use what little you have the best way possible. It starts with kindness, the first of many lies in this world! Koyo played the role of the nice girl that works hard after joining the Leaf village but was only after their secrets. She learned many basic Jutsus & sharpened her earth style, but intentionally graduated late as a Genin to give off the idea she was weaker than the rest. But now she has to prove her worth, gain more trust and power to achieve her goals, her father's goals. To unite the two worlds and shatter this fake dream, reveal its truth to everyone that the ninja world is a hellish nightmare none can escape.
Ch.1 Snake - The Truth as it is told.
W.I.P. - The first lie is about how she is a member of the Orochi clan sent to the Leaf Village to represent them and grow strong enough to become a Chunin some day.
Ch.2 Poison - The Truth as we know it.
W.I.P. - She wasn't sent to serve the Leaf, she was a spy meant to learn their secrets and weaknesses for her mentor and village leader.
Ch.3 Weapon - The Truth that is found.
W.I.P. - She isn't an orphan at all, it was lies to bring her back from insanity. She was discovered during the war mentally broken, the village that took her in experimented on her to discover her past. Things just got worst, she wasn't even human, she was a ninja tool. The parts of her that was still human were hard to tell apart from the parts that weren't, the village leader tried to reproduce another like her, but abandoned it all. The village leader had more promising projects and instead stabilized her mind and put her to use.
Ch. 4 Tools - The Truth we forget.
W.I.P. - After discovering the truth, she continues to serve the Orochi while secretly watching out for herself foremost and looking for a way out of the snake's belly. She starts to look for clues and finds she has a sister who ended up in the Leaf Village under a family there, her sister is clueless to the truth. A weakness for family, for love begins to guide her motives and actions to reunite with her sister and tell her what she knows. That they are both ninja tools, created by their father to be superior to Ninja, to survive and change this corrupt world.
Ch.4 Puppet - The Truth that Hurts.
W.I.P. - After being turned away by her sister her mental state worsens, but it leads to another truth. Her father and her creator was just another liar. Her real name, her real past was taken from her when this sick and desperate man kidnapped her and her sister and turned them into ninja tools. He was a victim of the first war, he hated war and wanted to make a solution. That solution was a means to fight the war without endangering lives in the first place, but he was unable to animate his puppets so he crossed the line and took the lives of creatures and eventually the live so two little girls who were lost in the woods.
Ch.4 Honor - The Truth you fight.
W.i.P. - She has gone so far and made so many mistakes only to discover who she really was, she was the daughter of a Samurai, a small, but proud clan with a mastery in kenjutsu. Her father created a unique skill, it wasn't something worth dying over, but that's what happened. A rival clan wanted to unify all clans and all techniques and wouldn't take no for an answer, they attempted to wipe out the clan, but one man and his two daughters survived. He sheltered the youngest from the truth, but passed his skill and hatred for the world to the oldest before he abandoned them.
