Information
Mika carries the blood from an ancient clan, Kiyousei. "Ki" meaning "tree", and "yousei" meaning faerie. The clan recieved their surname long ago due to their resonance with the trees. Many believe the Kiyousei clan to weild magical powers, as many are able to sense things others cannot.
Often one to slip away into the dark abyss of her own mind, Mika may disappear for varied stretches of time if left unattended. She loves the idea of making friends, but finds it difficult to create the permanent bonds of which she craves. She has quite a unique personality, and hopes to someday figure out how to use it to bring joy to others.
Things to know about Mika are: She loves tea. She really loves tea. She is a vegetarian, enjoys in-depth conversation, early mornings, taking walks, writing, and.. of course.. trees!!
Teammates Soul Mirana and Ryouta join Mika as genin under their sensei, Kuraen Keen. The four entered in the 4th CE, and made it near the end of the Desert of Death. Kuraen Keen made it farther, however, and ultimately was chosen as a chunin. A permanent team was formed by the Hokage with Kuraen Keen as sensei. Soul Mirana, Ryouta, and Mika will continue to hone their skills until all three members join their sensei as chunin-ranked nin.

Appearance Details
Mika has silky, perfectly straight, long green hair. She has lightly tanned skin and honey colored eyes. She is quite slim, with little muscle mass to show for all of her training. She is sickly, but tries her best to live normally despite that.
There is a softness about Mika that unveils itself through her voice and her overall demeanor. Even if she raises her tone or shows excitement, her aura is far from intimidating. This in no way means she is incapable of proving her strength in a fight. She desires to protect those around her, and grows in skill each and every day.

Chapter 1 - The Beginning
A cry echoed through the forest on the outskirts of a village hidden in the leaves, as dawn began to give light to the area. The quick pattering of footsteps could be heard making their way towards it. The cry- soft, almost melodic, tugs Kaname nearer in a way that seemed magnetic. After what felt like hours, the strawberry blonde woman entered a clearing. Flowers and greenery of all sorts surrounded her. The trees that lined the clearing were not as densely planted as some other areas she frequented. The air was still, and all was silent for a moment, until the cry returned and filled the forest with life once more.
Kaname sucked in a bit of air and held her breath, as she began to slowly approach the large tree from which the sound was eminating. Her heart ached with the need to be near the source of the cry. She reached the tree, and looked down in the nook of the branches. There, she saw a beautiful image of purity and joy.. in the form of a baby girl, peeking out of a strange bud-like encasement. She lifted the infant, who looked as if she was merely moments old, and held her close. Kaname's heart filled with love, and her soul felt at peace. The infant's calm silence seemed to show she felt the same.
Chapter 2 - Homecoming
"Who is that?" Yiru asked as he curiously stood on the tip of his toes to look down at the infant in his mother's arms as she sat on the couch of their living room. "This.. is your baby sister." Kaname responded, her lips formed into a gentle smile. The 4-year old's eyes widened for moment, then a quizzical look crossed his face. "But Mother, your tummy was never big! There was no space for her in your tummy!" Kaname shook her head. "Yiru, this is a special case. She was not born of a human. Mommy didn't need space in her tummy." His mother's explanation only seemed to confuse him more.
Yiru looked at the infant once more. "..is she really my baby sister?" His eyes were wide with amazement and curiosity as he took in her presence. "She is." Kaname nodded once, joyfully. He placed his hand on his little sister's head and gave a smile beyond his years. "She's beautiful." He said. With that, the infant's eyes opened and met Yiru's. Her eyes were a beautiful light honey brown, just like his own. The eye contact made his heart skip a beat. He didn't quite understand the semantics of the how it all came to be, but this was indeed his baby sister.. and he loved her.
"Mother, what is her name?" Yiru's eyes still locked with his sister's. "Her name.. is Mika Rin." Kaname's answer seemed to please the newly appointed Mika, who wriggled and cooed at the revelation of her name. "The newest Kiyousei!" Yiru shouted and threw up his arms in celebration. An older woman with her hair wrapped in a bun emerged from another room. "Kaname, I think it's about time for you to let this situation be known to the Hokage. I'll keep watching Yashiru while you take care of everything." She said with a bit of a serious tone. Kaname looked at her son for a moment, and then her daughter. She nodded. "Yes, mother. I will bring Mika to the Hokage and council, and inform them of her status as a Kiyousei Bloom."
Chapter 3 - Lore
Kiyousei lore says that there is a rare phenomenon among the clan in which, every so often, a child is born.. not of a human.. but of the trees themselves. Mika is the fourth case of which this situation has come to pass. Out of nowhere a member of the Kiyousei clan gets a strange, insatiable need to go out to the forest. Once there, they hear the sound of an infant's cries. They follow the sounds and they find an infant wedged in a tree, looking freshly born, covered in what appears to be a bud. Members of the clan are certain these children are born of the trees, and believe that some trees have the ability to take the DNA of those in the Kiyousei clan and store it within itself. Then they can, at any point in time they choose, grow a child that genetically belongs to a Kiyousei and their partner.
The Kiyousei clan believes this is the will of Fire making certain the Leaf population can never be permanently extinguished, as the trees could call upon any deserving individuals to become the new Kiyouseis if ever necessary. The Leaf villagers protect the Land of Fire's territory, and therefore the trees. The clan says it all began with a nin who had a deep caring for someone who spoke of plans to create the village hidden in the leaves. That someone ended up fufilling those plans, and became the first Hokage. His name is Rory, also known as the White Blur.
Kamika was aquainted with Rory back before the village we know and love came to be, and after some time fell in love with him. She never gained the courage to tell him her feelings before she fell extremely ill. She could feel her remaining days dwindling away, and wanted to use the last bit of her chakra to do something for the man she loved. Kamika went to the center of the forest, and pleaded with the trees to ensure her love's dreams were realized. She had a unique ability to sense tree chakra, and so had a deep connection with them. She asked that the trees help protect all that Rory works for, and that she was sure those who follow him will protect the trees in return.
The trees seemed to sense her honesty and the sincere love she held for Rory, and granted her wish. Before the last bit of her chakra was drained, ending her life, Kamika wrote out her story on a scroll and left it with the trees. The trees absorbed it along with her chakra, and it was found with the first newborn that came from the agreement. Many from other clans have trouble believing in the Kiyousei lore, but Rory recognized Kamika's handwriting and could think of no other explanation than tree births being Kamika's outcome of that day of her death. He created the surname 'Kiyousei', and gave it to the infant as well as the infant's mother and father. That was the beginning of the Kiyousei clan, and the beginning of the story of the Kiyousei Blooms.
Chapter 4 - A True Shinobi
Mika's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of birds chirping. She noticed sunlight beginning to light up the room through the window. Have I been awake all night? She thought to herself. Indeed she had, for this was the day she would graduate from the Leaf Ninja Academy and become an official genin. A true shinobi. A knock occurred at her door. "Mika. Can I come in?" A voice was heard asking from the other side. Mika sat up in her bed. "Yeah, sure." The door opened and revealed a now 17 year old Yashiru, holding a tray of tea and treats.
Yiru was fair-skinned, lean, and had beautiful honey brown eyes that matched Mika's. His hair was like a Mohawk, but with the sides short rather than fully shaven. The longest part atop his head flopped over, and his strawberry brown curls reached his shoulders. His voice was a bit hoarse, but soft. A very calming sound to younger sister Mika. Yiru had grown to be quite a capable nin. A decision he had made, not because he had actual interest in the ninja way, but because he took every opportunity he could to have the strength to protect the people he loves. Especially his sister, whom he cherished most in the world.
Mika's elder brother was a lightning medic. He had no interest in life as a shinobi, but followed every step necessary to gain the skills. What better way than to officially become one? Once Yiru became a chunin, he planned to stop going on missions and live his life as a typical Leaf villager. He wants nothing more than to be around for those he loves, and to protect them whenever they need protecting. The chunin exams were to be held in a little less than a months time, and he looked forward to starting on the life he had always wanted for himself.
"Yiru. How sweet of you. Tea and treats? You didn't need to go through the trouble." Mika blinked with amazement at the kind gesture. "I know how important this day is for you. So I brewed you some genmaicha and made you lemon butter rice pudding, vanilla almond mini muffins, and an omelet." Yiru smiled, prideful of his efforts. He walked over to Mika's bed and set the tray down in front of her. He placed his hand atop her head and ruffled her hair slightly. "We're all so excited for you, Mika. Now eat up and get ready. You wouldn't want to be late."
Mika nodded in agreement and began to drink her tea and eat her breakfast as Yiru exited her room. "Delicious, as always" She said. Mika finished everything and felt a bit more relaxed. She got up to close the door Yiru had left open in order to get dressed. Afterward, she went out into the living room and saw a note on a vase of green peonies. It read: Mika, dear. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you this morning to help you get ready for your big day. I needed to go out to finish the preparations for the clan party being thrown in honor of your graduation. Don't fret, I will absolutely make it to your ceremony. I know Yiru will be at your beck and call, and take care of you in my stead. I am so proud of you, my beautiful daughter. Love, Mom.
Mika checked the time and saw she needed to head to school. She quickly finished getting ready and ran to the door. "Yiru! I'm leaving now!" She called into the home. Her brother emerged from one of the rooms. "It's that time already? I hope you enjoyed your breakfast. I'll see you at the ceremony." He said. Mika smiled. "Uh-huh. I did. Everything you do for me is always amazing. You try way too hard, Yiru." She turned to the door and opened it, switching from her cream indoor slippers to her green outdoor shoes. "I don't try hard at all. I enjoy spoiling you. It's a pleasure to do everything I can to make your life the best it can be." Yiru gave a calm, loving expression. Mika chuckled, used to the unusual intensity of sincere brotherly love he possesses for her. She closed the door and began her walk.
It was a warm, sunny summer morning. Not a cloud in the sky. Mika enjoyed grey days, and enjoyed the rain.. but she also enjoyed sunny days, as long as it wasn't too warm. It seemed to be right at the borderline of her preference. The village was abloom with flowers, and there were celebratory signs everywhere in anticipation of the village's newest genin. The air was crisp, and it invigorated Mika. Her walk was peaceful, and she made it to the academy without any interference. She seemed to be one of the first to arrive.
One by one, the rest of the students appeared in the classroom. The room was abuzz with excitement. Mika sat at her desk and kept to herself, smiling softly at the happiness she sensed around her. During her time at the academy, she hadn't made one friend. She didn't seem to be disliked, but rather everyone just had something more important to focus their attention on. Mika's existence almost seemed neutral. Yiru had once told Mika that her demeanor, unique for her age, made her peers uneasy at the thought of becoming close with her. He was sure that once her peers became more experienced with exercising their courage, she would find people she could finally consider friends.
The ceremony went by like a blur. Mika somehow felt both numb and nervous. She knew that this was where her life officially started. This is what she wanted, and she would continue to grow in both mind and body in order to achieve any dream she conjures in her future. She wanted to make people proud. She wanted to make people happy. She wanted to help and protect. She wanted to love and be loved. She wanted to thrive by helping others do the same. The ceremony was held outdoors. There were many villagers present. People were especially joyous because everyone from the class was moving forward as a genin. No one was being left behind. This is actually happening.. Mika's thoughts were racing. Was she overwhelmed with what was yet to come?
