Just because you take the reward away for the first one doesn't mean people don't want to participate in future what utter noncensce . The community understands the game is in testing stages and removing it from a few people would be better off than upsetting the majority of the community. People are only less likely to want to take part if people keep rank for unfair reasons. lol please you can't put rules and then say they can pass because they RP properly that's breaking RP if those rules aren't followed. That was the whole reasoning behind people keeping rank . Yet you break RP by not keeping those rules. Yes players don't always know what is best for the game but neither do the staff it's like you don't want to listen at all to any negative feedback.

This is why rank shouldn't transfer over it should just be treated as a test as it's the first one.... so no agro amongst each other. When everything is working THEN people should keep rank.

lol making a new account won't make me feel immersion but I do suggest you read the whole thread. One team will get Chunin before the final wipe.

One team doesn't seem like it will make much difference in terms of fighting for it later .... as you said it will be once a month. I get that it doesn't mean anything but it does for RPers which was your reasoning behind giving them rank before the last wipe and moving it. Like I said before. it breaks immersion for those roleplayers ect. Yes it is your game but people are in agreement with some of my points and you should listen to the community. If the community isn't happy with the game then they won't play it. Numerous reasons? where? I gave you more reasons you should do it after the last wipe than you did giving reason not to and not moving rank . Just giving my thoughts don't take this as aggressive.

Why can't you run it after the last wipe though? Events with perma content should take part after all wipes. Tests should focus on testing content, nothing should be moved across from tests.

Those new players are your potential future veterans if they see stuff like this it will turn them away. Just because someone is a veteran doesn't mean they should be treated better. It's a game and the people playing it are all possible people who could spend money on the game.But like I said you could change the chunin exam in future ..... Why can't you just run the chunin exam after the last wipe?

I am over the wipes I have gone through every one.You say that you won't wipe again after this but that is no guarentee. Issues could arise again as the game is still in Alpha as you say. Even if rank does nothing it still breaks immersion and who is to say you won't change the chunin exam event in future? It's only Alpha....... Just show some consitency with wiping. Like you say Akiro it's an event and if players couldn't be around in Alpha for the Chunin exams but could in the next phase after the last wipe then wouldn't they be annoyed by that?

I am assuming specific missions. But if it's for an RP reason then that makes no sence in my view as that is kind of a reason to wipe in it's own. Honestly I don't see rping even happening during tests that much until launch. So what if someone who like RP doesn't get Chunin and someone who does like RP does get it who is playing at present. Then the wipe happens one will start as a level 1 Genin the other a level 1 Chunin. That will break the rping aspect straight off and break immersion. Think about it. Nin Online isn't some futuristic game which has time travel. "Eh how are you a chunin already at level 1? " (or whatever level) "Oh I received it in the past!" " So you can time travel" "Nope" "WHAT!? I'M DONE HERE" If roleplaying was a thing that could be something that could happen between two testers or a tester and a new player at the time of the next test. Even if it's only a rank and gives no advantages if one thing is wiped everything should be. You wipe levels you wipe ranks. Levels aren't more important than rank. People put time in to leveling like they did with earning chunin so why should levels not be transferred over with ranks if you are going to transfer said rank you need to do the same with levels. Tests are tests people shouldn't expect to keep anything. Heck you are probably going to wipe again and again.

That is like saying people don't want to play the game now because it will get wiped but plenty do play it now to cap.

I didn't say level should be carried over ..... I said wiping should have continuity . You can't wipe one thing and not wipe another. That isn't fair on everyone else unless you plan on giving everyone Chunin just like that as they played in this time before launch. Also breaks immersion like I said.

I realise it's a rank you earn. But my point is it in the open alpha test just like everything else. Why should one thing in a test move over if another thing doesn't?

Fine but don't let people keep Chunin. You are doing that for testing purposes also. So what is the difference?

That breaks immersion.... You should not wipe if you are going to let people keep ranks on a new character that is totally bad.

Yep no more run as box all working good now

Well I said everything not much else I can tell you on pm?

This is what happens , the game patches then a "run as" box appears so I select current user and leave the protect my pc button press ok and the game loads. So then I login and get the cipher error -2147024894 Automation error. The system cannot find the file specified. If I untick on the run as box it lets me past that although when I then go and enter a server it just sits and eventually moves me back to the log in screen without any message. But why does this box even appear? I am the only user on my pc.
