Further improvements to reduce lag spikes. Reduce DDoS protection, more data can be sent at a time and per second. This will reduce disconnections. Fix waging war kills exploit, you can no longer get them by killing a ninja and reviving them. No trap tiles no longer prevent NPC movement.

Dear Ninja, The server will be down every Wednesday at 24:00 CST for us to test and release some updates. It may be upwards to 2 hours, but these updates should only take about 30 minutes to test and release to ensure there are no problems. We sometimes may push out hotfixes to address problems outside of maintenance periods, these downtimes are expected to last less than 15 minutes. Please note, these changes will only be my updates. Content changes usually go live immediately when Rory is done with them. You can read the changes here.

If the updater was closed in the middle of updating, it would fail to update all the files next time it was opened. Server logging and optimizations. Fix event server crash. Fix lag spikes! We reinstalled Windows Server and upgraded to 2016 edition. The server now uses a new firewall technology for DDoS protection.

Bounty missions now display how much Ryo you have collected if you don't have enough. Fixed grammar for Ryo to be capitalized. Updater now works for keybinding friends.

Fix organizations not being removed when leaving an organization. This fixes tons of bugs in-game. Fix display of stats in Character Panel when receiving a buff/debuff. Fix game server crashes. Allow staff to bypass MacAddress. Fix events not working. This includes timed missions mostly such as Guard Duty. Add a message to display if a player has capped their daily when trying to receive a daily mission.

Fixes to game server. Hard spikes hair style fixed. Color palette on character creation fixed.

Different ranks of Body Flicker wouldn't work with warp pads. This also fixes many other potential bugs with events that check your Jutsus. Fix the mass disconnection bug. We still have server hang, this means you will be able to move, but not cast Jutsu. This is the next bug fix I am working on.

Microsoft forces Windows Defender in Windows 10. It is advised to disable it if you use a secondary virus protection software or if you don't use a SSD. It can cause problems and degrade system performance by a large margin. Disabling it in Windows 10, it will turn it back on automatically. You must disable it using the Group Policy or Registry. If you have completed the quest from Ko, it should allow you to use the warp. Just talk to him again. Improvements to server netcode and DDoS protection. Fix to all stats displaying correctly for buffs and debuffs. Fix for snare and silence missing for part of projectile's code. Client sends packets faster.

The game server now sends packets immediately after it processes them. This will improve ping a lot. Improved netcode. Fixed MacAddress disconnect bug. Fix MacAddress being cleared properly. Fix possible hang for server due to missions.

Character creation could get you stuck in the server. Massive disconnects should be fixed. Multiple servers should work now. Events should work while sitting. Fix issues with connections not working. Updater if didn't connect, the error text was too long. It has been shortened. Reduced Global CD to 100ms down from 250ms.

The ping spiking is due to the network, the more packets you send the worse network your packets travel. i will look into it though and see if there's something that can be done.

Can't attack while sitting. Fix direction change when snared. Jutsu stats no longer divide damage by the amount of stats if they use multiple stats! Added animations for stun, silence, and snare. Added slows to game engine. Added snare, silence, and stuns to buff/debuffs. Added new World Maps! Leaf & Sand World Maps while you are in them and overworld maps when you're outside. Added a new server for Gold and Silver ninja. It will be open soon to test new features and content!

This is a temporary solution until we can find the time to support two servers. We tried doing this before, and we failed miserably at supporting both. It is not something our team can do at this time. Nin Online is not sponsored by anything, all I did was include a referral link for ExitLag.

@Meth, you do not have to use these services, if you want better ping you should. I am addressing it since people have been complaining about ping a lot.

$5/m when I plan to use it for other games is not a big deal. NoPing and ExitLag were about the same. My ping was around 130-300 and now it is around 60-90. Both services worked good, ExitLag worked better and it had a better GUI. The other services I just researched them. Using PingZapper infinitely like that is fine, but I don't want to create a ton of emails and such to have reduced ping. I was going to buy a real VPN, but I decided a gaming VPN tool was a better fit for my needs.

I already explained why you need the service. A lot of people use VPNs to browse the web and game. The server is in Canada and ping cannot be improved by us. It can only be improved by the client. You can use a VPN and just turn it on for the game, these VPNs are just specialized for gaming in general.

If you experience high ping, you should look into paying for a gaming VPN. These exist to eliminate the latency trips that your network ISP has to travel, by optimizing the network pathway. The server we run is in Canada and if you aren't inside Canada, the pathway to it could be really bad. This is something we can't fix, which is why we will look in the future to provide an alternative server for EU region and US. It just is not something we can do with our budget, time, or resources at this time. The only real solution is to pick a good VPN/proxy and use it for the time being. ExitLag NoPing WTFast PingZapper KillPing These are the major ones that I have researched and used most of them. I use ExitLag personally.

Optimizations and bug fixes. Close a connection if too many login attempts or if there's too many active connections. Fixes to MacAddress, such as crashing on login. Hopefully resolved disconnect bug. Fix snare/silence NPCs.

Academy Shuriken has been fixed. It broke after removing item projectiles from the game engine. Fixed where snare and silence didn't work with non-projectile jutsus on NPCs. Fix where silence doesn't apply to senbon, shuriken, or kunai.
