  2. If you are damaged at all the charging will stop. There also will likely be a small delay before you actually gain Chakra to prevent people from charging and running.
  3. Right, thanks for the suggestion. I never enjoyed instances dungeons in most MMOs due to the fact that you were separate from the rest of the community, with doing world bosses for everything allows people to fight over bosses and work together in non-PvP locations.
  4. Yes, we're thinking about having the ultimate boss in the game be the 9 beasts, and each beast will attack a village or place at random times. There's still a lot of undecided aspects about world bosses where players can create several teams to work together to defeat one. There won't be raid groups like a lot of MMOs with 40 people or more, but the loot will be shared if your team does a big enough percent toward the boss's health. Loot sharing means it will be duplicated for each team that participates, so the more teams that try to kill it the better for everyone.

    There's a sidebar called Seth's Development Stream. You may follow my Twitch or wait for me to post in the shoutbox every Friday and Saturday around 7:00 CST which I will be streaming on Twitch and will be working on uploading condensed versions of them to YouTube. I never said I would stream on YouTube. As a side note, I need someone who is able to edit my livestreams and condense the content for YouTube, I would do it, but I am too busy working on the game itself. You may learn how to apply

    YouTube has real-time commenting, but I like Twitch more for streaming. The comment system is far superior in Twitch though, and YouTube monitors its content much more strictly than Twitch. That's why the YouTube uploads would be edited and modified to fit their ToS.

    I've been deleting them, going to upload a condensed version of my stream to a YouTube account once I start planning them out. Right now, I am relatively new to streaming and want to get decent before saving my trial runs. Although, I will keep my last broadcast which is still available.

    I was just thinking that earlier, thanks for validating that idea for me. The best time to stream seems to be late at night. Although, which days to do it most likely on the weekend. I'm going to do planned streams every week on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM CST (times may differ such as going longer or shorter). I also want to try to make my streams more entertaining, so I am going to come up with events and try to do as little of programming as possible since not many people really like to see me code, but develop content and the like.

    Do you guys like me streaming all the time, or do you want me to only stream when I have content to demonstrate live? I could do both such as having planned streams that are announced in the forum whereas people can plan accordingly to meet them.
  11. They use other Jutsus which conceal themselves more. We can make Substitution Jutsu upgraded to a different Jutsu based on your clan or element, but having more than one conceal Jutsu is a bit over the top which is why it is the primary one at the moment.
  12. Combat is going to be really fast paced, but it could be changed in future patches as well as the stuns on several of the Jutsus. The stuns are there to make fighting less of a pain to chase people down. I believe it may be bumped up to 12 seconds before we actually release the next alpha, but 7 seconds feels really good cause if you played the Naruto fighting game on the Xbox 360 you get 4 Substitutions to use which the game does a very good job at keeping you from avoiding damage from this.
  13. When you are hit the buff is removed, you basically can use it every 7 seconds. I updated the main post to be more informative.
  14. Seth's Development Log #6 Substitution, Wyrm Waterball, and Great Fireball Techniques Dear Shinobi, We've been working hard on bug fixing and balancing of the current Jutsus. Although, on top of that we've completed three new ones that will be available in the next alpha. Substitution Technique This Jutsu allows the user to have a short term buff that lasts 7 seconds which the cooldown is also 7 seconds, so when you are attacked it will be activated and the buff will be removed. Whenever the user is attacked, they will teleport behind and face the same direction as the enemy that hit them. This will prevent all damage from the attack or Jutsu that they casted and give you the upper hand to make the first strike! Wyrm Waterball Technique This Jutsu allows the user to attack an enemy from range stunning them for 1 second and knocking them back. The design of this Jutsu both the way it works and the animation at the end are likely to change. Great Fireball Technique This Jutsu allows the user to cast a giant fireball which does area of effect damage to enemies in a 3x3 (tiles) or 96x96 (pixels) radius. It also will stun all enemies hit directly by it for 1 second, knock them back, and cause DoT (damage over time) up to 10 times within the second it lasts, but the user will be unable to move until it is finished being channeled. Animation is still being worked on, the position of the fire is not correct. Special thanks to Elk for making it.

  17. A small change to the bank design. Instead of limiting equipment to one per slot, as long as the item is exactly the same you can have more than one per slot. If for example the item has different stats from being randomized then it will use multiple ones instead.

    Portuguese and Spanish are the only languages that I can say for certain will be translated at the moment. Although, it may not be available for awhile after the game's release, and additional servers will have to be rented for regions that need them which is something we will have to do extensive research on.

    I didn't think to use Google Trends to source the languages, but it is more or less just to get an idea of what people are visiting the community at the moment.
  20. It's just for RPing and organizing events within the game. Maybe in the future organizations will be able to be linked with clans, but that is not something that is planned at this time.
  21. Organizations are not clans in the game, they are just child forums of our community. Also, you can earn Silver Shinobi to be able to create an organization.

  23. I'm not saying to control everything in the economy with an AI. My point was that I don't want bankers or influences on the economy from staff or players when they are granted special powers such as being able to make loans. This can lead to corruption of the game or distortion of its economy. The game's economy will be a free market - there will be no values set or controlled by an AI. If we do a bank interest or loan system which I highly doubt we will, then it would be done from an AI. I imagine that player shops are what you are talking about. That is something for the future though.
  24. I don't like having a person responsible for an economic part of the game. There's better ways to do it such as a making an AI that handles and monitors the actions we want them to.
  25. I do not need criticism about my public relations expertise. It's good that you are trying to help, but telling me how to do my job is quite rude. Also, everything you told me is fairly common sense when managing a community. There's hurtles that we have to overcome first before releasing updates again. Now that the hurtle has been overcome, we are pouring out updates.
