This is another update to the website! You can now link multiple accounts together under one master account which enables you to post and such as different users. This enables users to have alts under their main account. Alts do not share what you have earned on your main account and are completely separated. Invitations now are displayed on profile page. You can invite someone to help spread the word of Nin Online if you have someone's email address. They will be able to easily find you when they accept the invitation. In the future, rewards may be added to this system, so it doesn't hurt if you are inviting your friends anyway to the game. Awards are back! They will begin displaying properly once we finish adding back their images; all users who earned them in the past will still have them when they are fully restored. Can no longer double post a topic, it will not allow you to and make the button disabled. Can no longer double post in a topic, it will merge them automatically as long as the last post was within 72 hours. The homepage slider was increased in size and the frontpage loads only 5 announcements now instead of 20. Full inbox warning has been added. Disabled referrals in the Store. The website lag is much less. We're still working on the site, these updates will continue to pour out. Our main focus has been the game as of lately, so we haven't had the resources to keep everything up-to-par to what we would like for it to be. There's a lot to do still, such as adding communities and all that. This is on our to do list. Best Wishes, Hitspark

You need to make sure you are an Administrator. To see whether you have administrative privileges on your computer: Go to the Start menu (in the lower left corner of your Windows desktop). Click Settings > Control Panel or Control Panel, depending on which version of Windows you have. Open User Accounts. Click the Users tab. Are you running Windows XP? Make sure you install all updates available. Install .NET Framework 4.0. We offer limited support for Windows XP.

Hawk This is for players in United States and Canada region. Snake This server is for players in Europe region. Toad This server is for Developers. It may open up from time to time to Early Access members, but for the most part it is closed to everyone except Staff. To view the status of each server go here. You can always view the status of the Authentication Server on the sidebar.

It is disabled for the time being, we can't afford to pay for it right now.

A new bug has been fixed. This was a regression fro ma fix I did last night after the patch was released - it was causing it to update levels incorrectly on the client-side. Fixed level not being sent correctly to other players, if you leveled up it would not update until you joined a new map.

Dear Ninjas, This is a bug fix release with some new content added - no new mobs though! Bounty and the other exciting features are planned for 1.9.0. Blood will clear properly when you minimize the client. Map items now appear from other players that are dropped after 30 seconds. Many indoor maps which displayed day/night cycle have been corrected. PvP bugs have been eliminated - where you could attack anyone anywhere, could never get rid of it and other minor ones. Fixed a bug with Clone Jutsu not displaying max when it hit its max level. Fixed a duping exploit with dropping items. Level up Jutsu should all work now. SNI registering changes to help reduce issues with SNI not registered error, it will go back to cipher error for users whose computer is not compatible. Fixed level not being sent correctly to other players, if you leveled up it would not update until you joined a new map. Login changes to help debug it better (cipher/SNI.dll). Ban system now is in sync with the website. You may be able to login even if you are banned right now, we're still working on it though. New area Forest Exit below Forest Ledge. New area Land of Fire Morque. New area Land of Fire Bounty Station. Samurai now spawn at Forest Exit. Earth Prison description updated. Mystical Palm level requirements changed from 500/1000 to 125/250. Removed safe area at Forest Ledge and updated it slightly. We're close to connecting the Sand Village to the Leaf Village. The Sand Village is not yet complete. This is the path to the Bounty area. Sneak Peak Please help where you can and become a Gold Ninja, it is costly to keep the game up as a free service right now. Thank you. Best Wishes, Hitspark

Download this executable program and run it inside the bin folder of your Nin Online installation. SNI If you can't figure this out, uninstall the game and reinstall it.

Introduction Please follow the guide thoroughly when reporting a bug to ensure it is as helpful to the developers as possible. Guide If you have a problem, giving an error in text is not good enough. You must take a screenshot of it and tell your system specs, as well as specifying if you have .NET Framework 4 or later installed. Old Operating Systems such as Windows XP have hardly any support from us, you will not be granted any fixes just workarounds. We used to support Windows XP, but we are slowing cutting support for it. Steps How did this bug happen? Explain what you did and take a screenshot of the problem. Outline the steps you did to encounter it. What Operating System are you using? Do you have problems with other games? Is your video card capable of DIrectX8? Have you tried running the game in a virtual machine to see if it is something you did to your computer? Have you looked elsewhere to see if the problem has been reported already? Do not post multiple bug reports, they will be hidden and a warning will be given. This is considered spam. Make sure to cover all these in your bug report, make sure to let us know what you have done to your computer which could cause a compatibility issue. This is drivers, gaming software such as Raptr, AMD Gaming Evolved and Geforce Experience. Guidelines Do not report exploits. Instead, send us a PM or contact us using this form. Reporting exploits is publicly is prohibited as it makes aware a harmful bug that others may abuse. We look at this as teaching and showing other people to use the exploit, which will worsen the situation. Do not PM staff about all other bug reports. You may use the contact form, but we really suggest using the Bug Report forum, because we don't want people spamming our inbox. Try to search for bugs that have already been reported. Do not report a bug if it is already reported, instead add details to make it more informative to the team.

There are no missions in the game at this time, we are working on adding them in the next major patch. Thanks for your understanding, Hitspark

Banning right now is different on the website vs. game, next patch we are going to unify them together. When you get banned, you will be banned on both and when we unban you, you will be unbanned. Right now, we have to wipe your account if you get banned, next patch this will fix this problem. Thanks for your understanding, Hitspark

We are dropping support for Spanish and languages other than English. This may change in the future, but we do not see it beneficial since most of our players come from the Americas and Europe. We also don't really see a need to add more languages since our team is small and the gain is incredibly small. The Spanish section was a test for us to determine its value. There is still a rule about posting in language other than English on our website, this includes videos and other content. We are not doing this cause we have something against these languages, but if I went into your country and started talking in English I would look like a fool. This s the same principle as to why we don't allow you to post on our website from languages not officially supported. Thanks for your understanding, Hitspark

I never introduced myself to the community, but I wanted to have a proper introduction, so that people knew more about me. I am a big computer lover, anything to do with technology and robotics. Quantum computing is one of my most favorite subjects right now, more so than any other topic really. I feel like the next age of computing is just around the corner. Think of the old workstations in the 60s and 70s that only governments could afford which use Quantum computers. It will take probably 30 to 40 years to make these computers accessible to normal people. I also like making video games obviously. My blog can be found here.

MySQL server was being migrated to a new server, this is why you couldn't login and the site was erroring. The site goes faster now though, so the minor downtime equals a more responsive server.

Introduction This is a general overview of how we do patches in the game right now. We release a new version such as 1.9.0 this introduces new features and content. Sometimes you get new content in a lower release such as 1.9.1, but these are mostly content that was left out during the official release. Roadmap 1.8.9 - Bug Fixes. 1.9.0 - Cash Shop 1.9.5 - Sand Village, Bounties, and Missions. 1.9.8 - Bosses. 2.0.0 - New GUI. More information will be added later.

Speaking of which, the hospital crash is gone. I just forgot to mention it. You can now play, have fun.

Dear Ninjas, The wait is over, we're now officially reopening the game for good without minimal downtime and scheduled downtime. We're open for business! This does not mean the game is stable or considered beta yet, we're working on that stage of the game next. Sorry it took a few months for us to reach this stage, but we're sort of new to this exposure and growth. It was a lot to take in and was hard to motivate ourselves to pull through. Every flaw we experienced, we overcame and became better as a result instead of just giving up. Spelling error on Leaf Tutorial Clone. Fixed a few map errors on Leaf Village, Spiderling and Wolves area. Black Jacket was given a proper description (previously had none). All colored jackets were given appropriate color references in their descriptions. Fixed logging in bug this time for good. Let's hope you guys don't break it. Orange Shorts were given a proper description (previously had none). Red Long Sleeved Shirt was given a correct description (previously had the wrong description from an unknown item). Green Pants were given the same generic description as the other pants. Day night system was fixed, it now displays all cycles of the day properly. Fixed many server crashes and stability. Improvements to idle animation to be more random. F1 hides GUI now rather than Ctrl + H. Hide GUI works again. Several command shortcuts were updated with more accurate information and fixes. Fixed a possible automation error. Fixed issues with disappearing scrolls and being able to dupe Ryo. Fixed wrong descriptions for Earth Pillar. Misc. fixes to descriptions on certain items. Breaking Kick description updated to be more accurate. Mobs will no longer spawn inside the walls of the Snake Lair. Players should no longer be able to teleport past the snake gate without having the required materials. Improvements to packet DoS protection and bugs related to it (regressions). Can no longer begin charging Chakra on water. Added where the client in the taskbar will flash when you get a player or team message. Added display of cooldown in spell description instead of rank requirement. Added more accurate display of range and damage/vital for Jutsus. HTTPS is now used on the game servers and client for web-based login even though we already encrypt it. Opening links now uses HTTPS for example clicking the Register button in the client. Removed fade/resume music. Render Mode was added, this is a new client option which allows you to specify which mode to run the game in. By default, it will scan for the best one, you have options 1 through 4 - 0 means automatic. You can change this by modifying the options.ini inside install path. Snake Lair snakes cut by 20 down from 50 to 30. Lightning Pillar added back to Scroll Shop. Blank/Sealable Scrolls are now currency and stackable. Buffed Explosive Kunai cooldown to 6/4/2 instead of 6/8/2. Nerfed Water prison range from 7/8/9 to 2/3/4. Water Prison cast time changed from 2/1/1 to 1/1/1. Wind Slashing Tornado range decreased from 8/9/9 to 5/6/6. Fixed Cash Shop items and being able to trade them Placed the Reverse Summoning into Scroll Shop II. Updated color of Developer (again) and Game Artist in-game. Explosive Tags are currency again (means infinite stacking power). Removed experience bonus/lower from mobs that were higher/lower level than you. Added where if a mob is too high above your level, you will not receive any experience for killing it (10 levels). This is to protect player teams from not wanting to form, we either have to do this or make experience lowered while you have a Sensei training you. This change applies to both team and solo, because players can cheat the system by having someone help by healing and many other cases. If the mob is 10 levels higher than anyone in the team, they will not experience either. Only players who are within 10 levels of the mob will get experience. If a mob is much lower than you, you will still receive the full experience. Many new art assets - the scrolls have new ones especially. Figure out what we changed in-game. We will continue to add new items with each new patch. Reduced the amount of Wolves in some maps. 1.8.7 For those who wanted to see what was changed exactly in the last patch, here ya go. In preparation for the Chuunin Exam, we've added Team Warps. Team Warps can be done by Game Masters and by events that have Team Warp on them. These will be used for the Chuunin Exam. Login and logout works better with less bugs. Remaining logged in issues have been fixed. There were some bugs with music not stopping when it should have and a DirectX graphics error that could crash the client. Team will be properly restored upon relogging if you were not already completely logged out when logging back in. Client can now maximize. Character Reset now properly works. Randomized experience from mobs has been removed. It just confused players, didn't serve any real purpose. Developer color has been updated to be Dark Teal in-game. As a side note, we're working on missions. Those of you who read will know and we're going to add Bounties next patch which will allow PvP-based leveling similar to Battlegrounds in other MMORPGs except not sucky. Best Wishes, Hitspark

Linux is better for servers cause it is more efficient. If it had the marketshare, it would be better for gaming. Mac is UNIX which Linux is inspired off of UNIX. UNIX as an Operating System is far better than DOS. Microsoft is just good at making people forced to use their computer.

A quick update, the server will come up soon. I am working on a server problem right now. I can't access it using the normal means, it is taking awhile to fix. The server will come back up once I fix this, we aren't making any ground breaking changes except a few hotfixes to address logout and hospital crashes.

We are very limited on resources, so we are going to cut back on our responses to the community and the support that we give. Game The game is still in alpha and yes there are many problems there we need to address. It takes many years for games to mature. We decided to release the game in alpha stages since we need to properly stress test. Even though the game has a lot of flaws right now, we believe it is the best way for the game to grow and prosper. It is difficult to make a game with constant feedback and such a low budget/small team. Restructuring People are emailing me saying they love the game and all this, these long paragraphs I have to read. I don't reply to them all, but just remember it takes up my time to read them. I am not saying I don't like to read compliments. It is just I have to read everything the community puts out until we can get someone else to completely fill in my role; which is what I have been working on recently. We value feedback and user opinions it is why we have someone who reads everything the community says. If we didn't read what people said, we'd be no better than the companies that make games for pure profits. It is a double-edged sword, but it is what it means to be indie. We listen and adapt our games in a way that companies can't. This is just a notice to let people know that we are working, just not responding to emails or requests as much as we once did. I am cutting back and only responding if I deem it important enough. We've been restructuring our team to fill in my role as the public eye/support person.

It looks like it isn't worth the time, we'll see how the game grows and maybe look into it more later. I just was curious how many people use these type of computers.

Which Operating System do you prefer and would porting the game to them be worthwhile for us?
