I learned a lot from siggy tutorials about photoshop a long time ago You can look them up like Uzawak suggested. Keep it up!
  2. Because actual gameplay doesn't really start until you become a genin. If you have to be stuck as an academy student and can't go on missions until Genin exam events take place, then a large number of people will never actual make it into the game.
  3. Nope because that's not done
  4. @Sipher Thanks for putting my thought into words on the first part I'm sorry if I am prejudiced against BYOND, I spent atleast 5 years on and off of BYOND. When I talk down on it, it isn't as an inexperienced BYOND lurker, I used to play games on it all the time. I was involved in GOA's development for awhile, designed the banners and look for BYOND Anime page which is where all the fan games used to be, and worked on quite a few others games there myself. I know how making games on DM is, and that's why I'm obliged to say, the engine is really bad. Have you seen how everyone flies around and you can only see where you are when you start moving, and where you stop? A a calculator made in an actual programming language is comparatively better than one done in a bad scripting language. I don't feel high and mighty over BYOND. I do feel sad that people don't see how bad it is as a tool to make actual games. I would say it's a good tool to learn at best. I wish people who are legitimately interested in making games even as a hobby, would find out, and learn to code In a real language. The people who call themselves iconners there, are obviously detached from any real pixel art community, the good spriters that are there, don't get their "iconning" skills there. When I was working on BYOND games, I think the reasons I stayed were that it was easy to actually make the game out, so more games got released than games made with real engines and that there was a large anime fan game community. The reason I stopped was realizing how bad the games on it were, if I wanted to make good art, I wouldn't want it on a bad game. Though I would not be surprised if some BYOND game creator starts ripping them for a BYOND project. But you are right as well, there are a lot of projects which show promise, and that I would go back and play if ever released like Spirit Age. They are pushing the engine to it's limits, and I'd like to see how that goes. If you know of any BYOND games that are released and are actually any good, post them here. I'll check them out. My view on the will remain until then. I apologize if I got it wrong about how the state of GOA was and the reason it died being that it didn't have proper or adequate staff/management. I was purely guessing. Edit: ah, I re-read your post. You didn't think I thought it was because of the staff. You were saying I thought it was because of the fact that is a BYOND game. I don't think it was like that at all.
  5. Banned for pretending to be an administrator, and thus having the right to administer bans.
  6. Fabulous is what this game is.

  7. It's possible, just no system to set the male hairs onto females, and female's onto males except through an Admin panel for now.
  8. What about this? Abusing is fine to the extent that you can be corrupted through ingame means like ingame currency bribes. But the GM is still present to prevent irl money bribes and cases like this.

    hello

    Ah, I'm 20 we're not that different.
  10. By then damage would have been done. New players would have quit. People would get unhappy, and GOA will repeat itself. How do we justify people being higher ranked than others because they are friends with Hokazekage IRL? New players would just quit upon hearing such a thing. Maybe one of the reason why GOA is dead.
  11. Would you like if your local Kage was giving ranks to his irl friends and selling it to you for irl money? Not everyone appreciates broken games like the BYONDers :/ I'll be both head and village GM for a start, when there's only leaf village. So there's no worry about abuse to me.
  12. Second idea will be bad for balancing. It would be nonsense if all adding chakra really did was make Jutsus more powerful. We already have stats to make specific kinds of Jutsus more powerful. If you are a ninjutsu user for example. Intellect stat makes your ninjutsus damage scale for example. While chakra stat will give you the ability to use more of them in a single fight or period of time. Finding a good balance is a challenge, and there will be a variety of builds players will be able to come up with that will involve using these stats being used in different ways. One might also argue that being a pure ninjutsu user is useless because in between cast times you are weak, that's where hybrids come in etc.
  13. It definitely has to be big, but 3-5 minutes to get to the other size running straight would be impossible. I'm planning to make it more like a maze though. It will be possible to lay traps and stuff in future as well it will be fun.
  14. Ou, that I didn't know. Thanks, I'll definitely need to put this into the manual. I'd like that the Chunin exams be open for last minute mix ups or improvisation.
  15. Urgh. So much tl;dr posts. I read briefly, it seems you guys still don't understand the system well enough, and are still comparing the game and it's staff to the 13 year olds running BYOND games. If you haven't noticed, this isn't BYOND. You will not face corruption from the staff themselves. We are here to provide a fun gameplay. About the game being a purely PvP game, this has never been said. The game is open to people who would like to play the game for only the PvP elements. You can level, you can get to max level, learn every jutsu without being a Kage, so if its not your thing to participate in RPE, it is your choice. Permadeaths do not make you lose your gear. Permadeaths only happen to people who want to gain ranks above Genin. Permadeaths only give a minor stat boost like 1 point to each stat. People will not farm permadeaths because the difference in power is so minor. To farm permadeaths you would need to constantly be joining RPE which aren't as frequent as you imagine. To die permadeaths in an event could actually be a challenge since medical ninja will be on site to heal you whether you like it or not. GMs will not stop playings from making decisions, or being corrupted. They will stop Kages from being douchebags and/or promoting toxic behavior. I might increase the time a Kage serves. This way it would be more important for people to kill Kages they dislike during a RPE. A mistake here is assuming that leveling in Nin Online will be boring like a BYOND game. We have an actual storyline and unique missions. Compare Nin Online to an actual MMO, with actual content to fill up 100 levels.
  16. I will make one soon

    hello

That's nice how old are you?
  18. No. There is a striker and a referee. The referee doesn't place his leg on the ball, he just calls foul play. The Kage role is a player role, while GM is a staff role. GM position will not be obtainable by playing the game.
  19. No player should have an option to hinder another player's gameplay through authority. Authority belongs to people who are unbiased and fair; people who will ensure the players are in order. *Cough* Nazis *Cough*

    Hello

Welcome to the forum, I deleted your double post!
  21. The GM is not there to cockblock. He's there to ensure people who play the game are not being bullied. There is a certain amount of annoying and/or abusive behavior a player can tolerate before being too pissed off to play. The GM will not rule over the Kage's decision to rank up certain people. He's there to stop Kages from doing stupid shit like down ranking everyone, or doing something childish like threatening people's ranks and demanding money from them. I mean it sounds funny, or sounds like fun for the one Kage, but it ruins game play for others. Chunnin Exams which are combined will of course not only need 1 Kage. The other Kages would have to be involved. However, in the event of there not being any allies, the Chunnin exams will be kept in house.

    hello

Hey Uchiha Izuna, welcome to the Nin Online community. I saw you bought a gold shinobi badge and I was so happy. Thanks for the contribution! It will not be in vain.
  23. I was considering this, but a Coup d'état should only work if the Kage is really infamous and most of the village supports the new candidate.

    Evening.

Hi Souseki, your description of yourself reminds me of myself 3 years ago minus the roleplaying part. It's nice to have another Naruto fan around. Welcome to the Nin Online community! How did you find out about Nin?
