Personally, I get around 1800 FPS on small maps and 1000 FPS on Leaf Village now. We've added this as experimental options in the Options menu that you can disable to see the improvement yourself.

And this doesn't mean "Oh even though we bought it for 10k, let's sell it back to the shop for 200 ryo." If we buy something full priced we should sell it back full priced; it isn't like we are actually wearing and tearing or physically consuming these items to the point they can't be sold back half price; also the shopkeeper doesn't run out of ryo.
