We have to re-light some of the maps yeah. Let me or Erox know about these maps and we can fix them right away. We're not adding the old targeting back because we're not going to be able to sustain legacy versions of everything we make at the rate we're making changes. We'll continue to work on this targeting system, look and style more to make it more pleasing. But I hope you understand why we can't be making legacy options for everything people prefer, we can't maintain it.3 points

Again all of these were made in ms paint, and im sure you'll recognize these lovely ppl. If you want one made let me know beforehand. I usually take 1-4 days to finish one because of my studies, but i hope that wont stop you from wanting one. I've gotten reasonably better compared to my last post. All of these pfp's are 1k (anything higher than that would rly make my day and i will work a bit more harder on it) @Ryujin All of this wouldn't be possible if you never requested to have a pfp made, and as such i took my time to remake yours! I'm thankful!2 points

Time/Day/Night related changes Game time now takes place over the span of 24 in-game hours. Previously the game's clock would go from 0-12 and then restart. This was a little weird. The game's world now has 24 hours, but moves 4 times as fast as real hours. Meaning 6 hours per day cycle. This should help players who play short periods of time a day at fixed time being subject to only ever seeing one time of day. Added clock at the bottom right of the HUD. We intend to next, sync the time system with the server's time and set raids and world events to happen at fixed in-game world time. For example, raids might happen every (game) day at 12pm. In the future with automated tournaments and such, we could make it happen every 4pm game time, as another example. This should make things a lot clearer. Fixed day/night sometimes turning black for a moment when GMs adjust time.2 points

A master reset scroll has been talked about for over 2 years by the community with the cancellation of advance jutsus i truly belive we should get a yearly chance to change our second mastery. As everyone who plays nin knows lvling is painful, grinding is painful we cant choose anything in the game but our mastery everything else is RNG is its really frustrating when player choose a second mastery and it gets nerfed, revamped, etc and get no compensation for it thus leaving alot of people even more frustrated by implenting a yearly mastery reset players can at least pick another mastery and enjoy the game and experiment. This will also reduce the influx of 'alts' that plague this game. Please take this into deep consideration i guarantee us the players will deeply appreciate this change.1 point

There are a lot of flaws in the PVP aspect of the game which should be one of the top priorities. Melee Registration People farm months for weapons like Demon Claws and end up having ghost hits like crazy, melee registration is the main source of damage for melee masteries and having ghost hits really effects spar outcomes a lot. Projectile Update The projectile update is one of the best updates however it messed up the hitboxes visually, U get hit by things that miss in your screen. Auto-Aim This feature is really noob-friendly for PVP, before it actually took skill to sub-punish and only a handful of players could do it. Zoom-Mode Recently we got zoom mode changed and it is really bad quality, Zoom mode used to be an option in old client and got many people using on it. Removing this option forced zoom-users to play on something they are not fimiliar with. BI-Warrior This speaks for itself. Ofcourse there have been great updates for PVP and im not bashing anything, see this more of a list of things that need to be done.1 point

Y habilidades especiales. Protección de jinchuriki. Y algún otro keken genkai1 point

Due to the recent changes on the ability to see behind walls/trees and other objects and the day night system some areas have become harder to see/less visible than before. A prime example of 1 area is below: In mist I recommend reducing the fog on maps with the least lighting simply because the dark maps with the new day/night system + the Fog + the rain makes it ridiculously hard to see yourself or anything else. Also with the new targeting outline can we have an option in the Options channel to use the old target. The reasoning is because with the new visibility/day night cycle its a little helpful when trying to see others even after you have them targeted. One last suggestion around these changes is to make certain jutsus more visible as well. Some things in the dark are tough to see that was already a little tough during the day if u glance at it real fast.1 point

We'll fix this as soon as we can. It's not that we don't want to. It's just hard. We fixed this when we fixed the timers. If it is still happening to you, help us by making an issue on the issue tracker with a video demonstrating it so we can pin point your issue. This is not a new thing. We haven't changed this since 2013. The only thing we changed is that the client side visual shows the players rotate to what it has always been rotating to. It was a bug that it didn't, and was the reason why sometimes people would be facing down but their jutsu came out to the left/right for example. As long as you play on a resolution where the height is less than 1440p at the moment, you can play without forced zoom. The reason is because we have to draw the line somewhere on how much unfair advantage you can get by having large monitors. Because Nin's maps are largely vertical, we take into consideration vertical height at the moment. We have updates planned for BI, but this might not make it better. There's really not much we can do without severely making the game just extremely punishing when you faint in combat, Glad you see it. More in the works.1 point

Yeah i think the one before it goes completely dark is dark enough, u can't see a thing and it's really hard on my eyes, please never make it go this dark1 point

Exactly the changes which the devs do massively impact our masteries just look at wind and wm. The devs changed them and gave us players who play them 0 compensation a yearly mastery reset can fix this because no one wants to grind all the way to 50 just for them to get another change to what ever mastery they pick. We need this mastery reset scroll i swear we do this aint right at all man and you know what to when we do get a mastery reset we still gotta lvl up jutsus which some take a long time to even max... buy the jutsus with blanks that fail ..... like i dont see the problem with this man1 point

New Day/Night Overlays & Lighting System A good example of how our new UI system is helping speed up development. This feature and all the editors were completed by @TheWolf in the last two days. Also, the new Day/Night Overlays are done with shaders and is more optimized than the old day/night system. It's possible that some users may experience good performance gains from the new system. Fixed Item Sell Price being displayed wrongly, improved message Spider eggs would sell for 2 Ryo but when you double-clicked it, it would say "This item will sell for 1 ryo" Now it'll say "Spider eggs sells for 2 ryo" Fixed GPU Utilization being high in Main Menu Forced VSync on main menu to make sure the client isn't trying to render infinite frames on main menu. Fixed furniture rendering [BUG] image over them sometimes1 point

I see your idea. Perhaps a more realistic possibility would be to allow everyone the opportunity to change their second mastery ONE time at level 60. This would allow people who didn't like their second mastery from 50-60 the possibility to change their mastery. It would also not be easy to meta chase as whatever you switch to might not be the meta down the line. Personally I would definitely start playing again if I could change my mastery from medical on Kin because it just gets very simple.1 point

alts bring more harm than good , most people who got alt either sell them for money, abuse them , or use them to harass players / dodge penalties even if their is a few people who dont do that the bad out weighs the good.1 point

Baked Player Rendering Player characters and all their paperdolls (Skin, Eyes, Hair, Weapon, Accessory, Shirt, Vest, Pants, Shoes, Buffs) are now baked to a single render texture, should increase performance on maps with large numbers of players drastically. This also allows us to apply shaders to the player character like the outline shader. Look behind feature You can now see your own player, and your vicinity behind walls. You can now see your target and it's vicinity behind walls. Outline targeted players Player targets are now outlined, like mobs have been. When zooming, smooth maps texture Previously when zooming, the map would stay "nearest neighbor" style rendering, which didn't work well with non-integer scaling. This wasn't obvious, but now we smooth it with the same bi-linear filtering we had on the player for non-integer zooms. The transition should be slightly more seamless now when zooming. Corp chat (/c) Type /c <msg> to speak to everyone in your corporation Targeting tracking is now available on any zoom level, not just when zoomed in You can still disable it in settings if you don't like it, meant to help track action. Fixed Corp UI flickering bug1 point

Fixed server crash if we typed something wrong in the server console Improved timer system Will affect Battle Injuries timer Will fix server delay over time Edit to explain what happened with the server having a delay: In yesterday's patch notes we announced that we had "Added debug information for us to more accurately evaluate server performance over time". Basically, our previous method of evaluating server performance was bound to our timer system. By adding this new more accurate method yesterday, we were able to ascertain that the issue was the timer system. Because the timer system was both the cause and the method in which we evaluate how to server was performing, our metrics to evaluate the server's performance was also being calculated slower, giving us the same result as if the server's performance was optimal. Hence, it's easy in hindsight to see that the only place that could've been causing this issue was the timer system because there was no metric being affected, but performance was degrading. Because the timer was going slower over time, things were being "delayed". This malfunctioning timer system was part of the major updates around a month ago to resolve projectile/cast consistency. While it did do that, it was not reliable over time. Today we pushed a fix that replaces that method of calculating time (timer) to a new method, and are evaluating it's performance based on this more accurate method. So we should have a better picture of server performance even if the timer system is faulty in the future.1 point

Moved Halloween Event Trick-Or-Treat Buckets back to village squares Halloween Event Trick-Or-Treat Buckets now fill up as many candy as required to fill the bucket automatically at once. Combined Event Information NPC with the Trick-Or-Treat bucket. Fixed an NPC dialogue bug where certain dialogue choices that are supposed to end with going back to the choice selection after, wasn't working. Eg. Scribe -> Information -> Back to choices was just Eg. Scribe - Information -> Exit Fixed Rent Paid message Spelling error and it now displays time as 60 days 2 hours instead of 60.12 days. Added debug information for us to more accurately evaluate server performance over time Added some double checks on death and imprison events Not sure why, but sometimes it's unreliable and sends players to the wrong hospital or jail. Added some fail safes which hopefully will band-aid the issue for now.1 point

There's a bunch of new cash shop item released. First off, Hashi Set. An outfit with Demon Slayer inspiration, the design is based on classic male Japanese school uniforms. Wear it just as a school uniform, or throw an overcoat over it to make get that definitive Hashira look. This is the first cash shop item that I've done the art for since Face Bandages in 2019. All my time since then has been dedicated to working on programming and adding free in-game content, so please give me your support! The second cash shop items released are the first Furniture Cash Item (Scroll Pillars). We're open to feedback about pricing on these. This current pricing was decided based on feedback from players. We understand that a lot of players want to have more reason to own a house, as right now it is purely a novelty. We know this, and we intend to add plenty of functionality with houses in the future, including using it as a Spawn Point and having Stashes/Storages. We'll talk about this more when the time comes! https://www.ninonline.org/forum/store/category/11-furniture/1 point

New animated login screen background Pardon/Exile Cooldown Players can now only be pardoned after 7 days of being exiled. They can still be exiled immediately after being pardoned. (Admin only) Windows notifications are now sent to Admin/GM when a player is reported This will help let GMs keep Nin Online running in the background and wait for reports (Admin Only) /expirehouse command for Admins to make a house immediately expire. For testing, and forced evictions. Added notification when you received mail (while you're online) Improved server performance We noticed a flaw in server performance that potentially made server loops (where things are processed and calculated) get skipped in the event of lag. This could potentially cause issues like projectiles being farther behind than they should be and item effects to not be processed. We're not sure if this will solve those particular issues, but it potentially caused them. Also did some general optimizations that shaved off around 5-10ms off some of the server processes by cleaning up "for loops" that looped over empty maps/players etc. Fixed players getting knocked back into walls This was happening with jutsu with more than 1 tile knockback. Fixed furniture not returning to players through mail when they didn't have a mailbox at the time the landlords tried to send the furniture back Also, fixed global mail, allowing us to send mail to all players Misc. Changes Improved positioning of Nin Online logo on login screen Fixed background on login screen being black on odd resolutions Fixed background on login showing hitspark logo instead of background when returning to main menu sometimes Fixed client crashing with mailbox items Potential fix to players getting stuck on login (connected with instanced maps/houses)1 point

Functional TVs Currently testing it on live server, but should be available for players soon. You'll be able to showcase any YouTube video through a TV by copying the URL of the YouTube video in your Clipboard and then interacting with a TV. Before the barrage of people complaining about how there's so many issues with this and that and we're here working on TVs, let me explain. Kenock suggested it as a funny idea one day, I brought it up to Wolf mostly jokingly but said we had more important things to work on at the moment. So Wolf spent his off days working on it. There was no equivalent exchange between getting this or some bug fix because Wolf just really wanted to experiment and add this in his spare time. Also, this was one of the most complex features to add because it's unprecedented in any game using the technology we're using, so it's actually pretty crazy that he made it work. Added (Ctrl+v) Pasting Clipboard in Chatbox Fixed crash when trying to open browser for some (will display error instead) Fixed two separate potential rollback issues Creates mailbox (on database) for player when they login if they don't have one (to receive global mail) Fixed IP grabbing client side script causing MacOS build to be broken Fixed a memory leak when logging in through browser Fixed support for Latin characters (Admin Only) Fixed our Jutsu Editor Copy+Paste (Admin Only) Allow us to /fakelogin people multiple times1 point
