This post will detail a way to balance Yamazaru in different ways which I have thought of. (I own the sword). Now usually what happens when a new weapon drops is that the entire community will complain to Rory to get it nerfed until it does then the weapon becomes another useless project. Currently when new weapons are added they are almost identical to weapons already in the game but with increased stat points. In Yamazaru's case, it's a reskin of bonesword with higher str req and high base dmg. I have some unique ideas on how to change this. I'm here to advocate the following changes to Yamazaru. Changes: ADD 1 PASSIVE ONLY. Decrease the base damage to 46. I find that to be fair as Bonesword is 36. New passive : Yamazaru has a 1/16 chance (this can change, but usually it takes around 16 autos to deplete your opponents hp) to incur bleeding on the enemies. The bleeding will damage for 17 per tick up to 3 ticks. (51 dmg in total). New passive : Yamazaru has a 1/16 chance to land a double auto on opponent. (This should really be more for Double Scythes so up to you Rory) The 2nd hit will be HALF the dmg of normal autos. For example, Yamazaru usually does 91 on autos, on the double hit it would do 91 + 45 with a cool animation. These are the ideas I have currenty, feel free to share your thoughts. This is my way of trying to implement new precedent to BALANCE new things in the game rather than cry nerf without any reasoning or though.10 points

Passives on swords is the way to go at this point if we want more diversity, every new swords feels like it's just more numbers . As long as we keep them simple n nothing crazy.4 points

I really like this. Great topic. I'll support the idea of Rumaki's, at this point in time Devs should focus on adding passives/abilities to stronger swords instead of the meta Hp/Chakra Regen/KB/Stun/Snare. There's way more to work with, with feedback of the community. Poison Swords Bleeding Swords Fire Swords Double Hits Critical chance Jutsu casts (unique of 7sm ones since they're supposed to be uniques) Stronger HP/Chkr regen (shorter time between heals) Freezing Swords (slows enemies dealing DoT) There's literally so much to work with for power weapons, and I know Rory said he dislikes element based weapons (scaling off int) but if they can make jutsus work with weapons it could really change the meta if they're easily accessible.2 points

I tend to disagree. RP-wise it would only make sense for ninja to train on their own or within a team on a designated training ground. Of course sparring is a viable option when it comes to training offensive jutsu, but techniques such as Earth or Water prison are truly a pain to level during PvP or PvE. I would put summons in the same category too, as they are one of, if not, the biggest reason people AFK with PvP on in square and if there's no med around, leveling a summon usually lands someone in the hospital. The addition of training dummies would offer a better and safer alternative to leveling jutsu, and personally, I would love to see the 3 training logs in Leaf TG be turned into practice targets as well. It would add variety to the game, as people who are not really keen on PvP or PvE would have a safe spot to level their jutsu or summon while it would also create opportunities for RP (especially RP missions I or II) where instructors or sensei teach students the basics or different styles of shinobi combat.2 points

With the new corps system it makes it much more efficient to add and kick players. This also makes it very easy to add/kick players from corps with buffs to pick up the org items which was limited to once per day. This makes it so you can add X amount of players to the corps > They pick up the org items > They are then removed but now you are able to have 20+ org items in ONE go. This is very abusable and the org items lose their values when they drop as the player can pick up another one instantly, you can basically have unlimited swords per day. This in turn makes org items (such as swords, puppets, rings) basically broken. As before you can take away a players org item and the next time you fight them on the same day they wouldn't have it. But now these items are more permanent, and having permanent + buffs on your character all the time is unfair and broken. Thank you for reading @Ueda @Erox2 points

Good evening everyone, I've come with a suggestion that could change the pace of hunting and how groups fights are orientated; with the addition of player executions. Currently in game, once an opposing ninja is downed, there is nothing that you can do to speed up the kill other than to wait for them to press enter within the 59 second interval. During this time period, allies of the downed ninja can come to interrupt you from getting the kill by reviving them. Executions would not only allow players to counter this, but it would bring a new mechanic to the game that comes with a risk. How would Executions work? Executions would act like the Mystical Palm technique, albeit forcing the player into the death screen instead of reviving them. With that being said, players would be required to stand directly beside the body in order to execute the downed ninja. Moving away or being hit with knock-back, stuns, and/or snares will cancel the execution — forcing them to restart. And since executions would be cast-time, there is the risk of being killed yourself by enemies. *All Players who are level 10+ should possess the ability to execute(all levels possessing the same cast time; preferably 7.5-8.5 seconds). With the requirement of level 20-30+ being there to use it, execution animations — if any at all — can correlate to your 1st mastery. ex: Earth Execution - A multitude of earth spikes emerge from the ground below, piercing and gutting the downed ninja. Water Execution - A chain-like whip wraps around the ninjas body, constricting around them like a snake; suffocating them to death Fire Execution - The user snaps, causing the downed body to burst into flames; scorching the poor soul into a dark husk of ashes. Side Note: We could also make use of @Fuze's aseprite commission services to create the animations for such, if it were be implemented of course. I personally would love to contribute some funds towards this. How would this change hunting, or even group fights? At the current moment, whenever an ally is downed, they are either ignored until the enemy is killed or distracted enough to allow for a revive. With executions however, this would prompt groups with a decision — Do we allow the enemy to take the chance at an execution and reposition, or do we defend their body and take the risk for a revive? The same goes to the people who got the kill. Do we push and execute the downed, or do we focus on another objective — possibly giving them the chance to revive/getting W.O.F? More suggestions for executions: - This should be a "hotbar-less" technique, only appearing(possibly above the village logo) whenever the player is standing directly beside the downed enemy. - If it is interrupted, there could be a 20+ second cool down, allowing for only about two attempts max on an execution. At the current moment, this is all I have in mind for executions. If anyone else possesses any ideas/changes or wanst to contribute to it, please feel free to do so! Thank you, everyone. - Issa P.S. It is currently 3 AM my time and I haven't slept in 40 hours. Please excuse any grammar/spelling mistakes. Lol.1 point

Hello! I am writing this cause I personally find a huge lack of content in Nin that keeps the game from growing. This is a To Do list for the developers, so one day we will have a real & complete MMO. These are just my ideas, I am waiting for feedback on any of them. I am not here to criticize the developers, I know it's a hard job and they're working really hard. This topic is just must do stuff that we should get in order to keep the game alive and grow it further. I am open to discussion and I'd like seeing your ideas, let's help the devs as a community. 1. Main Storyline and Side Quests The game needs to focus on new players as they are the potential new source of revenue. When you start the academy the tutorial teaches you the basics of the game, but that's not enough. Right now, you can only get Daily Quests, which is fun and all, but it's not enough for a MMO. MMOs should be all about players, teaching them how to play and giving them stuff to do so they don't get bored is the key to retain players and get new ones, that's why almost all big MMOs have a story and quests related to that story. Big Problem: There's no way to learn how to properly farm high level mobs or PVP in game. The only way you can learn PVP and how to farm efficiently is by a lot of trial and error (which means a lot of BI, and let's be honest, it's boring), or by asking the community and finding people to literally stay and teach you, which is horrible for new players. Nin should have a main story with main quests which will take you from level 0 to level 60, forcing you to learn how to farm and how to PVP, there should be tips spread along missions which will take players from 0 knowledge to getting a good grasp on how efficient farming and basics of PVP works. Also, side quests should be spread around the main line story for the players that like playing a lot and want stuff other than PVP or farming. There is nothing to do from low levels up to level 40, or 50+ other than mindlessly farming or dailies, that's a huge problem, players will come, get the dailies done and log out, this becomes boring quickly, as it's so repetitive. Main and Side quests should get harder and harder as you level up, exponentially. There's so many examples of MMOs that do this extremely well, almost every big MMO will have Main/Side quests, so you'll always have stuff to do. 2. Marketplace All MMOs have marketplaces. By marketplace I mean an in-game way to list items and either instantly buy or sell them (look at other MMOs). Why is this a must? For new players and old players, there should be another way to sell items or buy them other than going on discord and trying to find buyers and sellers by DMing lots and lots of people until you get an agreement on price, that's boring and will get people tired pretty quickly. A marketplace where people sell/buy items for ryo would make wonders for the economy and would make everyone lives a lot easier. Also, am I the only one that, as a new player on a MMO, would look at the best most expensive items on the marketplace just to get a grasp on what I should strive for and how great the end game content is? Marketplace is a must, almost all MMOs have one, and because there's a economy in Nin where people sell and buy items for ryo, there should be a in game marketplace. 3. Better PVE content At the moment, the PVE in the game is there, but it lacks a lot. Most mobs drop their specific drop, blanks, and maybe some special item that's worth farming for. New players will get bored of just going near mobs, and pressing z, then doing it all again, and again, for hours. I will just say that low level content regarding PVE is so low and not well made at all, PVE gets better as you level up, most high level mobs forcing you to actually know how to stun them and kite their attacks, but the transition from dumb low level mobs to flickering and stunning hostile mobs is not well made at all. The mobs AI should actually force the new players to use jutsus and use flickers and subs to kite their attacks, this way people will actually play and have fun while farming, and they will teach themselves on using jutsus, which will later help them in PVP and high level PVE. Also, most bosses have an insanely low chance of dropping something good, which brings in the need to do the exact same thing for weeks until you get something good, which is horrible for mentaining players entertained, how can you have fun when you're doing the same thing again and again for literal weeks or months? How bad it is when you go farming for 2 daily hours and you get literally nothing for weeks. In summary, in my opinion, to get a better PVE experience, this game needs: more low level mobs (this means a bigger map, more variety for quests), better low level mobs AI (so new players will actually learn the game while leveling up), more variety in drops (so people don't strive for that 0.1% drop for weeks until they get bored) more bosses that are hard to beat and use flashy jutsus that affect the whole party that's attacking 4. Better PVP content I like the PVP content right now, it's clear that the game is focusing on it a lot. The PVP in nin is incredibly good, but there's content that needs to be refined. In my opinion, orgs make their own content, which is a big big problem. The game should provide content for orgs, other than cosmetics, there should be: in game made (not player organized) tournaments for orgs, common missions for orgs (missions that each member will contribute to, which will benefit the org, members getting rewards for how much they contributed to the mission) More org related content, regarding PVP and PVE Org wars (I can reference to some games that do this well), All of this needs to be in game, not organized by people on discord. I'd like seeing more infiltration, maybe kidnapping missions, there's so much you can do. Nin PVP is so versatile and great and it's really what keeps people playing, that's why it's important to take care of it and develop it further. 5. More content... I know I repeated my self with content, but damn this game really lacks it. I will just make a list of what I think there should be in the future. (once again, that's not to hate on devs or something, it's just constructive criticism on the current state of the game) A functional map (that's so needed for new players, it took me so much time and my friends hated when I used to ask 3 times where some place is, it's a must for the future) More weapons and tools. There's a lack of items in the game, elementals need more variety in the toolset they could use, also, more weapons and tools mean more drops for mobs, which brings me to: More mobs. There are really, in every village, larvas, then a little higher level mob like scorpions, then the little bit higher level like coyotes, then straight up hostile mobs which are hard to beat, the transition to them being hard for new players. There should be more leveling options, that's where main and side quests + dailies would be really useful, adding mobs will allow the addition of more and more quests and more and more ways to get drops (which new players could sell on the marketplace maybe ) More jutsus. I won't even get into it, devs know and the whole community knows. Org jutsus, kage jutsus, chuunin jounin advanced jutsus, all of this would be great. Maybe dungeons? It would be incredible teaming up with your org and go attempt a dungeon, look at the game that do dungeons the best, you know how nice it feels when you finally finish up a dungeon. Maybe a party finder for them. (that's just an idea for the far future content) More bosses with more flashy jutsus and combat, and more drops ofc, for all levels. To wrap it up This topic was all about my opinions and all I'd like to see in the future. I hope I'll at least open up the discussion for some of there features. I think everyone cares about the good of the game and as a community the least we can do it give devs our feedback and help them in a constructive way. I am waiting for your feedback on this topic!1 point

Can we get this eye color added to the eye color changer? Since we have Gentle Fist mastery it would be cool to have eyes that look like Byakugan.1 point

It's cool that training dummies were added on the mist village boat however, I could see these dummies being very useful when it comes to training Jutsu and summons. If they were to be placed in ninja villages it would make training a lot more convenient as we'd be able to level Jutsu without having to rely on other players turning on pvp or enemy ninja. This should be a feature as ninja should be able to train their Jutsu in other ways than engaging in combat with others.1 point

With the new great org system it would be nice to have a better "Peace List" version of villages as well, so it would be nice if each village had a org that is managed by the kage, the org will give missing ninjas the ability to not have ff with the villagers, it could also allow them to spawn in the village they are allied with but thats not a must tbh.1 point

You are making a hilarious mistake thinking that the toxicity stops when you choose. If you have tainted someone's opinion of you, are you really naïve enough to believe they will consider you a whole new person once you stop being toxic? No. You have to work on fixing your image with them.1 point

We will be adding a cooldown to exile/pardoning and we'll be preventing the houses from kicking players back to hospitals, it'll return them to the entrance they entered from soon.1 point

It is a really cool concept till you realize the whole system of leveling up jutsus the way we do it atm is already bypassing the intended way of leveling them which is via combat whether that be pvp or pve. Worst case scenario if you don't have a person to just afk on in square, head to an enemy village and beat up their raid points kek1 point

Mastery: GF/WM Level: 47 (will become wm at 50) I believe joining the LMPF will teach me more about the Leaf security, its community and will count towards one of my goals of becoming ANBU, never been on any org, as learning the game, so I believe its a good opportunity to keep growing in the nin world1 point

As some of you MAY KNOW, the Boss enemy, Dark Weasel, uses 2 techniques: Dark Wind Scythe - Dark Slicing Wind - What I would like to suggest is, Bosses that can cast jutsus should drop a scroll that can re-skin a specific jutsu to the dark version of it. The scroll would be one time use and tradeable. Examples: Dark Weasel skins: Dark Slicing Wind Re-Skin Scroll Dark Wind Scythe Re-Skin Scroll Kiemon skins: Dark Phoenix Fireball Re-Skin Scroll Dark Great Fireball Re-Skin Scroll Reain skins: Dark Wind Barrage Re-Skin Scroll Dark Slashing Tornadoes Re-Skin Scroll These are only a couple of examples, but my idea is for every Boss that can cast jutsus, there could be these skin drops. Please leave feedback down below C: -Thanks for readin1 point

Bone Sword was the fastest sword in the game until more recently when other swords got added. What made Bone Sword managable to fight against was the fact that even though it had the fastest speed out of all the swords, it had the lowest ratio of base damage to STR requirement. Damage of the sword per STR required: Bone Sword: 0.33(lowest) Religious Katana: 0.37 Shirokata: 0.39 Bandit blade: 0.38 Crystal Sword: 0.35 Blood Katana: 0.41 Suddenly we are getting a sword like Yamazaru, which has the same attack speed as Bone Sword but the base damage of the sword per STR required is higher than any sword in the game until now. It has 55 base damage and 120 STR requirement which leads us 0.46 base damage per STR required which is astronomically high for a sword that is the same speed and rarity as Bone Sword. I understand that it needs to be stronger due to the higher level and STR requirement, but being this much stronger is simply an overkill. Jakuma is even worse since it needs only 100 STR and 40 chakra, chakra is an universal stat so that requirement basically doesn't hinder you in any way. I think these swords need to get rebalanced further since their balance is completely off charts compared to anything that was in the game so far. Swords with Bone Sword speed are having the same base damage like Asarihanma which has 2.5-3 second attack speed, it simply doesn't make much sense. @Ueda0 points

Certain players have mental issues and will never forgive. KoS, whisper to others to attack for them, lie about you etc. This thread was pointless as the community does not have a say in your pardon @Aesthetic. Only the Kage's who want to profit off of you do. And as this game is not realistic and does not like to cater to as many people as possible, they will remain in power. Can only hope Ueda will one day change his mind. ?0 points
