GF = Gentle Fist (if it wasn't made clear) The community has expressed frustration on fighting the GF mastery multiple times and I'm sure this isn't the first (or the last) post about this. This is however a suggestion offered more as a 'quick fix' that would require minimal work, rather than a complete rework of the class. I'll explain in my opinion why this mastery is so frustrating and unbalanced. The combo below is the one I'm using as reference as it's where the frustration lies: GF combo: Flicker -> Palm Bottom -> Mountain Crusher -> Any follow-up Any flicker combo in the game has one of the two characteristics: Undodgeable: Jutsu combos like Flicker -> Windclaw for example (before you disagree, yes this can be hard punished, ask any wind user who has fought me) Unpunishable: Jutsu combos like Flicker -> Fan 3 tile tornado, or Flicker -> poison scalpel The gentle fist combo mentioned above has both of these characteristics. It is both undodgeable AND unpunishable and is the only combo in the game to have these characteristics. While you may argue 'this is why GF is special' the scaling of damage on the combo with both these characteristics offers an advantage no other mastery even comes close to, which is why it's considered so unbalanced. Proposed solution: Remove just one of these characteristics (not completely, you would still keep the undodgeable combo, just reduce the damage on it). My suggestion to do this is by changing the hitbox of the Palm bottom skill. Currently Palm bottom has the following hitbox: The reason this is undodgeable with flicker (as apposed to something like flicker -> tornado) is due to the hitbox of tiles 1 and 5. My suggested change of the hitbox is as follows: Conclusion I want this to be a fix that is agreeable with current GF players. The playstyle would still be the same, it would just add more opportunities to play the class well as skilled players would still be able to time their flicker to land more damage on their combo, and the overall combo after flicker would still be undodgable, just do less damage. This would open up opportunities for counterplay through good movement and also add for more opportunities to showcase skill on the class. As this is a suggestion, please keep replies on topic.14 points

This has been requested by the Nin community for so long so I'm hoping that one day an update will fix this problem. The bubble pipe and fan is intended for Fan users and Bubble users, but players that use elementals/int medic are able to put a small amount of points into Str and gain so much advantage off PvP due to it, to the point where most of the fan/bubble tool users (mainly bubble pipe users due to them having less/weaker weapons than fan) are mainly elementals/int medics. The fact that there's more elementals using a tool that's invented for hidden mastery users shows there's a problem. Many people have complained about it specially Leaf ninjas due to the fact that they don't have a tool that they can use unlike the other villages, and due to the fact that the mist village (for example) has elemental/int med users that majority have pipe tool and tend to spam the snare which leads to snare spam and free/easier combos to land. I've seen some people suggest that Leaf should get a tool for GF but the mastery is already broken/easy as shit to play, plus making more braindead things isn't the best way to balance things out, Which is why I suggest 2 of these options. 1. Make it so that players can't use elemental/int medic jutsus while having a pipe/fan tool equip, this should be easy to do since this is already added for Gentle fist users not being able to use their jutsus while having a Weapon equipped, This wouldn't completely remove all pipe/fan tool elemental/int medic users but it would be a good nerf. 2. Make it so that when players choose their mastery (Ex: a Sand ninja picks Wind as his mastery) They have to pick between either Int (Wind/Water) or Str (Fan/Bubble) that way they can't learn Str Fan/Bubble jutsus as a Int Wind/Water and vice versa. Problem with number 1 is it doesn't fully remove the problem, but it's a good nerf that might end up making some players drop their pipe/fan weapon. Problem with number 2 is some people tend to enjoy elemental/str hybrids (when I mean hybrids I mean ACUTAL hybrids not people w 20 Str) so they would lose out on mastery combinations that would at least cause them to risk their stats far more than a regular 20 str tool user. I'd honestly stick with option 1 for now since it's an easy add on but anyone can throw in a better suggestion if they can since it's an open topic. As for Gentle Fist this post right here explains a good nerf for it, so Gentle Fist nerf suggestions can go in that topic as well. Shout out to @Black Rain for the post idea.3 points

Good suggestion but nerfing GF has to lead to nerfing players having 20 str fan/pipe as elementals/int meds. I’m not bias so I know that having an elemental pipe can be pretty braindead, Ex: wind water pipe is better than solo GF but at the same time have Aoes and shit that makes it also better in team fights which is why I think if we strictly do this nerf right here it would be unfair, unless the nerf with the 20 str fan/pipe users happen as well.2 points

The GF combo also has one more characteristic, which is that you can't sub it either, mountain crusher is Seimistic Dash in steroids, it doesn't self stun which allows you to combo right after, palm bottom takes your sub and mountain crusher places you infront of your enemy, the rest is just smashing buttons for a combo, subbing the GF combo is just not possibe.2 points

Good suggestion, don't like the fan bit cause there are people who would possibly do a str fan earth or w/e element combo and already have int wind picked being unable too switch between both. #nerf pipe!1 point

The concept that was shown in Sand village puppets where you could farm drops to enhance existing lower level swords was quite interesting so I thought it would be interesting to add even more weapons like those. There are some unique drops that never had much use in game so I thought of a cool way to use them. Yukikata - a frost infused blade which can stop even the mightiest opponent in his tracks. Crafted from a Shirokata, 100 Iron pieces and 15 Glacial Bear Paws. Has a 50% chance to stun the opponent for 0.5 seconds. Yotte Kyuketsuki (Drunk Vampire) - a frenzied sword that has drunk the blood of countless enemies. Crafted from a Kyuketsuki, 50 Iron Pieces and 30 Blood Vials. Gives hp regen, has better speed and damage than regular Kyuketsuki.1 point

Bullying many level 20's-30's Gf's as a 60 isn't good data @ana primal the suggestion isn't even a nerf and is something that would make you primal specifically do better against Level 40's+ GF. That being said good post @Insidious1 point

Rory already said last year in Discord that none of these things that I suggested are going to happen. However, if you're broke that's your fault. The market is constantly booming. Your view isn't wrong, it's your opinion and you are entitled to it whether a GM or a player. I respect it because you're my friend. Never said getting coupons is hard either, I just think that players consistently complain about how hard it is to hit 50 and then Rory casually agrees and says "ok, I'll make event coupons tradeable." Then he does, and people abuse it, and he needs to think about a better way for people to hit 60. Boom. Land of Iron. Almost impossible to grind. The problem is that he can't find a balance between too easy and too hard. That is why we the player base make suggestions. We want to help the game grow so that in the future; newer players don't experience the problems that we had to endure. "wah wah I have 0 ryo nik ur suggestion makes rich players better" you know how much ryo I have? 2. I play int wm for God sake. I'm still suggesting it. Go farm Hawks, Bears, Snakes, etc and sell the drops and you're going to have ryo. o-o. As far as the blessings go, a blessing is an advantage for the online players only. Not the offline ones who miss them. To be honest, just removing world blessing from the cash shop fixes this problem. Don't ever make excuses though for not having something that is easily attainable. Those rich players are simply more financially smart than the average player. Take @Sukki for example. Man had 7 million ryo. He started with 0. He earned that shit.1 point

The only reason for this suggestion is to make GF more skillbased, the combo will largely stay the same for skilled players, It will just reward a better timed use of it more. I 100% agree with you, make the post and I'll upvote it1 point

Tbh GF is meant to dominate 1v1s. A nerf like this would make people with higher ping suffer. If there is to be a nerf a buff should be implemented on other jutsus.1 point

Just because the game has a little P2W doesn't mean it should just go full P2W, Chief. I think most people agree the leveling needs to be revisited in some way, but not like this. Edit: I agree Stat Resets should be available in game, similar to World Boosts though. I don't see why not. No one's going to buy it over just paying 10k for the Nin Cred but that's a separate issue.1 point

Regardless of whether or not External abuses his power; I think that he should remain mod because honestly a lot of you need to learn to shut the fuck up. LMAO.1 point

A really good suggestion was made by discord user Nullz#7605 about the fact that during a survey daily, upon entering the guard duty map, a giant text appears above your head with caps saying SURVEYING. This doesn't make any sense. Why would a ninja, a stealthy assassin, scream that he's spying on enemies in the same map. The suggestion is to remove the "Surveying" above the surveyors head, but allow the GUARD DUTY text to display above guard duty missions to allow "GUARDING INTERRUPTED" to display. This method keeps gameplay similar, but allows for surveyors to be stealthy about this mission.1 point
