  1. Just making a post here because YouTube recommended me our own Nin Online soundtrack. I've been reminded recently of the amount of money spent to create original music in the early development days, when the game was burning through my savings and freelance earnings. When I had to survive on bread and milk and instant noodles for months on end because I had nothing left for myself and I don't come from a wealthy family. Every cent donated throughout the development period was also given to freelancers and others to draw art, make music, code and to draw promotional artwork that we still use till today. In the last week I streamed playing games made by others that had stolen Nin Online's original Art and UI. It really got me thinking, why go through all the work of actually being the one to create things when others just out right steal what you've invested your time and money into. I don't really talk about the struggles of development in 2013 leading up till beta because I usually can reason with myself that those sacrifices were necessary. But when people show me otherwise, that they can make money off my work without repercussion, I start to doubt myself and regret putting myself through so much hardship. But then I was serenaded by Sand Canyons by @Afilion The hopeful tune really gave me the lift out of the dumps that I needed. The reason why I couldn't copy someone else's work in 2013, as an 18 year old kid was because there was nobody to copy. There was no game like Nin Online yet. The community here is great, I can tell everyone appreciates the efforts put in by everyone who has played a part in making Nin Online. When I asked on Discord for people to help bring attention to the fact a game a youtuber had made a video on had stolen art from us, everyone came together to attempt to help. It might or might not pay off and Nin Online might get the attention that game garnered off our team's work. But at the end of the day, I'm just glad we have a supportive community of players who just want to play a good nar Ninja game. Anyway, this is not really a dev log, more like a rant. There's so much happening and coming for Nin Online that I'm honestly so excited. Hope everyone's been doing well in this pandemic!

  2. Dear Ninjas, We're proud to officially announce Nin Online working fully on Mac OS! If you are a Mac user You can download and play by visiting our download page now. Support While limited for support, as we're not that familiar with debugging the client specifically for Macs. We'll try our best to continue to support Mac OS into the future. This has been made possible by our new (Inochi) client and the hard work of @Delp who provided the installation and wrapper for Mac. Regards, Ueda

  3. Thanks! I'm happy to help with that. Few things which I would like to add about MacOS Client for anyone interested. Wrapper is based on Wineskin (https://github.com/Gcenx/WineskinServer) and it use WineCX20.0.2 as engine. This means that wrapper should work perfectly fine under Intel and ARM/Apple Silicon (M1 under Rosetta2) based MacOS systems. I would strictly recommend to use MacOS Sierra (10.12) or higher and devices with more then 4GB for smooth performance. Good Job on the hard work with new client @Ueda @TheWolf

  6. Good afternoon, Ninja. Welcome to the Hao's Nin Art Alley: ________________________________________ Table of Content: 1. Background (sample work, how the pieces look) 2. Information 3. FAQ 4. Notes & Remarks ________________________________________________ 1. Background This is something I started a year-or-two ago, where I'd take your Nin character's frontal screenshot, and produce an anime-style full body picture out of it. Here are some of the ones I did in the past: And after doing them for a while, I got better: Yes, this one requested me to add a whole Susano'o on them. (Click on any of the above images to view them larger) From all the above work I did for people, the latter 4-5 look especially fine, because I got better as I went on, and they told me to include certain effects. You can tell me any effects to include for your character art (Chidori, wind effect, sharingan eye, etc.) So, how do I make this art? Is there a trick? See the above image, I take your character's screenshot, stretch it out large (like you see on the left of the art), and then I simply draw over it. No tricks. It's the reason why they all have the same poses. 2. Information How to commission: Make a post on this thread, and DM me on Discord at Faust#8545. Include a screenshot of your character. If you have additional items you'd like to add onto your drawing (Chidori, wind effects, sharingan eye, etc.), you can let me know. Note: I will take one piece at a time, for as long as commissions are open. Realtime price: Currently Closed. $24.50 USD (Subject to change any-time) You only pay after the piece is done. The art piece you get: a 1,000x1,000~ resolution PNG of your Nin character on the left, with the anime version on the right, and your name at the top. I will also provide, upon request, the PSD file so that you can get a no-background clean render image of your character for your own editing recreation. I will return the art either here on this topic, or directly to you on Discord. 3. FAQ 1.0 Price is subject to change, what do you mean? This means the price for the commissions can change at any time. The price will not change for an existing person's piece that's already started. If it changes, it'll be between pieces, and it'll be listed in 2. Information. 2.1 Can I cancel my commission any time? DM me on Discord as soon as you can. You can cancel generally any time unless I'm >60% done the piece. 2.2 Can I ask for changes to my piece? When I finish, I will send you the work. You can ask for changes/modifications any time between then and 3 days after. 3.0 How long do the pieces take to be done? They can take anywhere from a day to a few days. 3.0 Will you accept payment in methods other than cash? Not likely, but you can DM me, and we can discuss. 4. Notes and Remarks This was done with @Ueda/Rory's full permission from when I first started. This is not affiliated with Nin Online, and I'm not part of the development team. As such, note that I can reject service to anyone for any reason, especially misconduct of any kind.

  9. You guys rock, now I can play even if i leave my desktop. Also word of advice for MAC Users. Make sure to go into systems preferences>Security and privacy and make sure you allow Nin to run and open anyways, It may sometimes tell you that it won't open because it doesn't read the developer name and thinks its suspicious.
