Dear Ninja, EDIT: Since this was posted, we've updated the installation with a new patcher. If you installed Nin Online Inochi before 13th April, please re-download it and install it again to receive future updates! EDIT2: Since this was posted, we've added compatibility for 32-Bit Windows Systems! We're happy to announce we're finally opening up testing of a "secret" project that we've been working on for awhile now. For the past few months, we've been working on rewriting our Nin Online client in C#, which will mean the end of the era of Nin Online running on an outdated engine. We're dubbing this update... Nin Online Inochi Which is not a new game title, but just a temporary alias to differentiate between the old Visual Basic game client (and era of visual basic server) and the game moving forward with a modern codebase and renderer. Eventually when we depreciate the old client, we can throw away this distinction. But for the time being, when reporting bugs for example, please do include which version of Nin Online you are currently playing! The significance of the word Inochi means life and I like that with the new client we can finally address key quality of life improvements, as we're in the middle of rewriting the entire user interface system. We'll also eventually be adding some more ninja lifestyle features like owning houses and organization houses, which would not have been easy with the old client. Although right now, for the most part, Nin Online Inochi is meant to be a 1:1 recreation of the old client, it still comes with numerous improvements from minor bug fixes to major features, here's some changes... Zoom & Target Following Camera Options In-game Settings (Including Keybinds) Other cool changes so far Important notes It is still currently buggy, but the amount of improvements that this new update brings is worth letting new players try using it to see if they are able to withstand the bugs in order to enjoy all the benefits it provides. This includes much better performance and even possibly consistent latency/ping due to better handling of incoming network packets. We will continue to support the old client for the next few months, but once the new client is ready to have complete features added to it, we will have to discontinue it in order to progress further. Hair colors are significantly altered in Nin Online Inochi. This is temporary. The reason it's appearance is different is that we're using a new method of coloring the hairstyles that is much more performant and allows us to add many more hairstyles. We intend to make it so you're able to choose ANY hair color on the RGB spectrum in the future.7 points

As one of the Asian players, I could actually feel the significant improvement in ping/latency when using the new client. Thanks so much to all the developers and GM that made this happened.3 points

Hello. I’ve been leveling my character and I notice that there isn’t much of an incentive to be into squads other than communication and sharing mob kills. I remember watching the show that this game draws inspiration from and squads were a huge system that allowed Genin “lowbies” to be grouped with Chuunin/Jounin and have higher mission success rates. Also kept in mind Shinobi strengths and weaknesses and allowed them to work together in balance. I feel that this would be a nice add-on to make the game more new-player friendly. I felt I went through a personal journey when leveling my character (only level 36 now) which is nice & I’m sure every village is different but in the Leaf Village it feels very empty most of the time I play... aside from the regulars. So as a lower level and even now I find myself asking for help in missions a lot. Waging War... Bounty Hunt...Spy Mission...Recover Documents these missions require going out and battling PVP which you would get lucky and find someone around your level. Most of the time it was a level 50+ roaming looking for kills or by the luck just run into you. This forces people, especially new players to abandon the mission or just get tired of the game. If I wasn’t a big Naruto fan, I probably wouldn’t continue either. I know it draws inspiration so it’s not meant to be exactly like the anime- but Genin just out of the academy need some help with missions like that. Most of the time, villagers would be too busy, relaxing or sparring. No problem with that because it is an RP game. But for those that aren’t high level and need some assistance I believe there should be some way to make higher levels want to help lower levels and get more rewarded other than just a “Thank You.” Ideas: • Squad EXP should increase your experience rather than decrease. (I understand the idea of splitting the workload therefore you should split the experience.) But again, its just a way to get people to squad up more efficiently than sharing kills. Speaking from an RP sense- even if the Jounin was in a squad with Genin, they would learn substantially more about battle tactics than if they were Genin by themselves. So maybe only limiting the increased EXP to CHUUNIN, SJ & JOUNIN that are on squads with Genin. • When selecting a mission in a squad, if you are too high of a level the mission does not activate for others. When you are in a squad, completing the mission does not share experience. I feel that if someone in the group has Waging War and someone else has Bounty Hunting you all work together to get the team’s mission done- because you all put in the effort to help each other complete missions, you should be rewarded at least in a percentage of their mission experience. • If a Chuunin or higher rank (Or even Genin) is a higher level and is in a squad with lower levels. If they select a mission, they can actually select to use their mission experience on themselves and a percentage to their squad. Or it is split among the group. So say if they are maxed level 60 with no more experience left to gain. They can still do missions to help lower levels and build another status in the village known as “Prestige”. Something that shows your helpfulness to OTHERS in the village. Things to avoid: People exploiting the system so that they can just relax in the village and get power leveled by people completing their missions. ————— I understand some of my ideas may overlap or contradict one another. Some of my ideas may not even work with the system. But it’s just to get the idea out there- I’m not doubting it hasn’t been talked about. The community is very enjoyable and I like the friendly trash talk with other villages / organization. I also enjoy the content being put out even this NEW SNAKE SUMMON. Nice! But I think it’s a nice way to keep higher levels to help the lowbies and help new players feel like they have a chance. The amount of times I’ve seen people abandon danger dango mission because of higher levels is high & that’s a very low level mission. ps. This is meant for discussion please bring fire to this topic. Thanks a lot. See you in game! Will edit if I think of anything else.2 points

12-14 kills is way too much. DZs are empty for most of the day and then people start going out in big groups. The fact that you start getting these missions as early as like level 30 or whatever is ridiculous. How is anyone below level 50 supposed to get 14 kills (besides teaming up with level 50s, or killing alts - both of which a new player is unlikely to be able to)? Especially with all these safezones and level 10 and below not counting for these missions. For the amount of exp you get, compared to missions that take WAAAAY less effort, it's just not worth it.. the required kills should be lowered to like half. Also, I'll use the chance to remind that VMW missions' exp was lowered as a temporary fix to an exploit, which was fixed a long time ago, and the exp was never reverted. We had a new level cap added after decreasing the exp you can get from literally the best daily mission available. It just makes leveling slower than it already would've been if VMW hadn't been nerfed.2 points

Hi everyone, a new player's proposal to improve the trading system. This proposal comes from the fact that a lot of exchanges are done outside the game. The main platform to contact sellers or buyers is the official server discord or the server discord of villages, organisations, networks etc... These in my opinion has several problems: - New players don't think to join discord in order to find the means to trade. There are no tutorials or ways in the games for players to learn how to make ryo or trade. This makes trading quite annoying and something that only high-level players know about. - Having to use discord to trade affects roleplay and immersion in the game. This is the most important thing in my opinion. This is especially true since there is a lot of competition on the discord trade channel, so you have to be very focused on the thread (and therefore AFK in game) - discord trading is slow. The more fluid and enjoyable the trade is, the more players will play. So here is my proposal (Roleplay presentation): Create the "Shinobi Trade Company". The STC is a merchant company of the ninja world that is present in all cities. This one has offices in all the cities and in key places of the shinobi world. The STC facilitates the exchange between shinobis. In these premises, the STC displays all the products that players submit for sale, both internally in the village and with external trade. Here, players can set their price and the company facilitates the contact between the buyer and the seller. (Explanation out of Roleplay) In concrete terms, the idea would be to create this 'company' which would serve as a platform for internal trade in- game. In its premises, all the products put on sale are displayed, with the contact of the player. The buyer can then contact the seller and make an appointment to buy the products. Or we can allow players to trade directly on the platform, personally I'm against it because it would limit the movements and contacts in the game. This would keep the immersive aspect of the game, reinforce roleplay and facilitate trading. This can be a way to familiarize players with all the in-game items. In every city there is a 'merchant' space that already exists. The STC premises could be present there. Here is a small proposal to try to enrich the game. NB : Sorry for my bad English! I think this item should be changed into a weapon rather than being a cosmetic. It says it makes u punch harder so I feel like it would be a more unique thing than just another glove item. The gloves wouldn't decrease speed like other weapons but they would only give a small amount of base damage. Like 4-5 damage to your melee attacks.1 point

I just finished the Land of Iron mission with the help of appa and ana primal. Doing the tower mission was the worst nin experience I've had, and I have been spawn killed by eight year olds in takumi at 2 am. Having finished it, I would like to address a couple things. When you finish the mission and trigger the cutscene, you are bombarded with flashes of white each time a new npc comes to "help." These flashes of white are actually legit not ok. Many games have seizure warnings for this kind of thing, and there is no warning for this. Your eyes just get combo'd for no reason. I suggest just removing that flash. Give the npcs the flicker animation to come in. Easy and simple. Secondly, the robes you unlock should have more colors, and the first one should be free. You just did all this work for the entire village, all the samurai you killed (800. I repeat. 8.0.0.), the two insanely op bosses, all the ryo spent on coming back, and you are rewarded with slightly more exp than the bounty hunting mission, and your choice between a blue, brown, pink, or teal robe AND it costs you 22,000 ryo. I think there should be as many color options as at least the 35,000 ryo jacket. Give us the option for a black robe, red robe, orange, purple, yellow, at least please . As for making the first one free, that's not as important. It really should be though considering it's supposed to be the Chief's gift to you. "Thank you for saving all of us and doing all the tasks for us, I'll now let you spend 22,000 ryo for one of these four robes." It's kind of like slap to the face to be honest. Lastly, the bosses themselves.... You have to cheese these bosses. You cannot have a cool normal fight with them. There is absolutely no reason they should be able to flicker to you, stun you, then one shot you. You cannot create a build that doesn't get one shot. Kanye West said it best, no one man should have all that power. Well, two men do, and it is not cool. The other thing is health. These boys are BEEF cakes. You could make them stand still and do nothing and it would take one person 10 minutes to drain their health, probably longer. I'd suggest making the health less, and damage less. It still has to be a boss, I don't want them to be glacier bear tier. But hey, maybe reduce the damage per hit to like 700 and not 4000. And decrease their health by like 1/4 or 1/5. And I know I said lastly, but pls those rooms are so small. Why so small? If nothing else, pls I want to buy a red fur robe ;-;1 point

I'm familiar with seizure risks. However, I'm pretty sure one solid white flash is considered safe. There are no consecutive flashes. You're not supposed to be spamming your way through that scene, there is dialogue. That's a fair point. Will consider that. I'll consider. Not every fight should take place in open spaces. We design each mastery with different terrain, some are better when the enemies can't run etc. so in the same way the game's world and story fights are going to play to different advantages. I don't have one soz1 point

Being rogue is not a punishment. It is just a different life style. People go rogue for the freedom of bias leadership, no rules, or experience points. I believe RP for it simply wasn't bothered with because of there being no rules to not kill host and rogues are by their lonesome mechanic wise. RP is supposed to be a small group event, and rogues are not united with no rank system to have a knowledgeable member host it. Honestly it looks like the programming of the one thing at a time method lead to it being like this and being broadcasted as intended when in reality it was just how it ended up as. CBK is a pain to do compared to WW, but it does give good experience points. The way I see it, Rory put a high amount of kills required to complete the mission to counter the members of the game who farm alts. This in return punishes the rest of the community. There should be a better solution out there, but it would have to be written in code.1 point
