  1. Dear Ninja, We're looking for a video editor to make videos for Nin Online YouTube. If your video is accepted, you will be able to join the team as a Media person to make more videos. Include your YouTube channel or website in our video signature. Credits will be awarded to you for making the video, you can use it on job applications and such. In-game perks such as being able to try the game early and take footage with the team. Your alt can be given Gold Ninja for free. Closed We're no longer accepting this, please do not do it. Getting Started Your job will be to edit the Chunin Exams video monthly or bi-monthly depending upon our schedule, and create fun videos which will be a compilation of in-game events that you need to highlight into a short 5-20 minute video with a song that we pick. When submitting the video, it needs to have the audio of the video plus the music that is provided in the attachment at the bottom. You can loop the music if you need to, just make it good. Showcase the event that happened which was an Akatsuki attack. Make sure to include transitions and make the video entertaining. It can be a trailer, a recap of the event condensed or anything you can think of; just be creative! Make sure when applying that you at-least have a GPU encoder such as iGPU or Nvenc. AMD GPUs are not that well supported with their video encoding. If you have an AMD GPU then you are required to have a fast processor to use non-hardware accelerated recording. Please send your hardware specs in the email. You can use this. All you have to do is take a screenshot of the System Summary that pops up after scanning your hardware. Even if your hardware does not meet our requirements, you can prove to us that you can record high quality video in the future if your submission wins or simply upgrade your hardware where it lacks. Looking for non-hardcore fan contributors and those interested in pursuing a career as a video editor or like to make videos as a hobby. It is perfectly fine to be a fan, but we don't want inexperienced editors applying. It is more work for us to accept inexperienced video editors than to edit the videos ourselves, which we will not do. Please submit your videos to our application form, if you have already applied to be Media then do so again. You do not need to have 3 examples of your previous work, just this video will do fine. You can post your video on your YouTube and show it off in the community too, but we will eventually add a modified/enhanced version to our YouTube. Video We uploaded one of our random in-game events which contains a lot of footage to use for the video submission. Please use 7-ZIP to unzip it or another software that support .7z format. http://www.7-zip.org Font You simply are free to make the video in any format you want. Make sure to match the font that we use for the website and other videos. The font we use is called Myriad Pro. Banners Place two banners on the side of the video. Make sure to do it properly, use the name of the file to determine which side it goes on. Those who do not follow instructions will not be replied back to or accepted. All files are copyright under Hitspark Interactive and are not allowed to be used anywhere except by us and for this video submission.

  2. Hey Ninjas, It's been a long time since I've made a development log. Though there has been so much progress going on. I finally decided to do one regarding a new jutsu which has had a very unique development process. For awhile now, I've been resting on completing the Jutsu kits for all our 1st Tier Masteries and focusing development on the Sand Village and other aspects of the game. But with the Sand Village coming to completion, I'm moving some of my time back into developing our kits to it's completion. We've had this piece of art @Fernando made, lying around for almost a year, which both of us found very hard to animate in 2D. Most of our Jutsu animations are usually pixel art animations, which mean they are done pixel by pixel, but for the first time in Nin Online history, I decided to use my 3D art skills to create a Jutsu animation. The task at hand was to create a Spiked Exploding Ball for Weapon Masters. So first of all what I did was create a simple 3D model of a ball with knife sticking out of it. This is Autodesk Maya and the model I made in a few minutes Next I textured the model with a simple texture of metal and an explosive tag on both sides. Next I made a simple looping rotating animation for it. Our 2D sprites are all shaded in a method called Cell shading, or Toon shading in Maya. So I used a shader to get this look. And finally, once I rendered it out and did some post-editting, I achieved this! It's a complex animation that fits in our game's artstyle and makes weapon masters that much more awesome! Hope you guys enjoyed this dev log entry! If you guys have any part of my art creation process you'd like to know more about in-depth, feel free to suggest it and I can try to document it in the next development log. Regards, Rory
