We are very limited on resources, so we are going to cut back on our responses to the community and the support that we give.
Game
The game is still in alpha and yes there are many problems there we need to address. It takes many years for games to mature. We decided to release the game in alpha stages since we need to properly stress test. Even though the game has a lot of flaws right now, we believe it is the best way for the game to grow and prosper. It is difficult to make a game with constant feedback and such a low budget/small team.
Restructuring
People are emailing me saying they love the game and all this, these long paragraphs I have to read. I don't reply to them all, but just remember it takes up my time to read them. I am not saying I don't like to read compliments. It is just I have to read everything the community puts out until we can get someone else to completely fill in my role; which is what I have been working on recently. We value feedback and user opinions it is why we have someone who reads everything the community says. If we didn't read what people said, we'd be no better than the companies that make games for pure profits. It is a double-edged sword, but it is what it means to be indie. We listen and adapt our games in a way that companies can't.
This is just a notice to let people know that we are working, just not responding to emails or requests as much as we once did. I am cutting back and only responding if I deem it important enough. We've been restructuring our team to fill in my role as the public eye/support person.
