  1. Introduction We're introducing a new testing stage for Nin Online, it is called Early Access Testing Phase. In this period, players will be able to play the game for a short period of time (15-60 minutes), such as to stress test to prepare for the Closed Testing Phase. Details How do you become a veteran? You must have Gold Ninja or Silver Ninja for at-least 6 months, be a friend or family member of one of the staff, or invest into the game. Investing basically means that you have contributed more than the required amount to play the game early such as a $25 or more, something which takes a lot of faith in the project to do and is something we appreciate a lot. This does not mean we're going to make the game P2W (pay-to-win), but it is a way to show gratitude to those who make the game possible. Also, the more that you donate to it, the greater chance that you will be selected. Those that have contributed $50 or more, will most certainly get in these tests. You will be given a special user group permanently called Early Access whenever you are selected to be apart of these tests. We will post a topic with a timer a week before the test, if you reply to it your chances of getting into the Early Access group will be strengthened, and the more constructive your reply is the better. Players apart of the Early Access group will be sent a mass personal message when the test is about to start usually within 1 hour, and it is up to you to be on when it happens. All accounts will be wiped for each test including the one before the Open Testing Phase. Date These tests will be at random times, and we will create a forum topic a week ahead of the time it will happen. Make sure to subscribe to the Gold & Silver Lounge forum to keep up-to-date on these testing periods. We will not mass email for these tests, it is only for people who are active on the forum.] If you get notifications for personal messages, you will get on in your email an hour before the test. No rewards will be given for testing, but it is a way to help the game improve.

  2. Generally developers sin in the songs of their games leaving annoying and irritating especially in 2D games, but these sounds are well done and will be very good in the game, great job to developers!, Will give a different feel when playing as if the same naruto universe.

  5. Decided to make another drawing. Some of the parts didn't appear dark because of my camera, so I had to darken them a bit with Photoshop. Not my best work, but I'm proud of it. ^^

  11. 1. Stuns will be balanced later, having your enemy stunned for too long is OP. 2. http://snag.gy/hD8je.jpg that's wood. Wood will have a Square cage in the future. 3. You don't understand how much work this is, it would take months of editing paperdolls to get one new frame in. I'm the only active artist, with a little help from Fernando atm.

  13. Rory's Development Log #13 Body Flicker Technique Dear Ninja, Seems like today will be another "Daily development log". This one will be a little short.First of all, here's the Body Flicker Technique skill animation! Body Flicker TechniqueThis technique will allow the user to teleport a short distance closer to his target. Essentially, it will be a gap closer move.As you can tell in the open alpha tests there was a lot of trouble getting close to the opponent to land hits. With Body Flicker technique, every player will have a strategic chance to move closer to his target.I could think of many other uses for the technique as well. It will be harder to use as a skill to run away, unless you have team mates maybe. The technique will also not teleport you right to the target, but a few tiles closer. It will also have a cooldown of around 4 seconds. I plan to add an Advanced Body Flicker Technique for Taijutsu & Weapon mastery. This will give the Taijutsu & Weapon users a better grasp on his target! (From the open alpha, this was obviously a problem). Great Water Arm TechniqueThis technique does not accurately follow Suigetsu's technique. Instead, I gave it my own spin, making the water surround the arm of the user instead of pumping in his arm to beef it up. This makes it look more interesting in my opinion. This technique will give the user a large increase in strength for the duration of the buff. Keep looking forward to more awesome jutsu and artwork from me! Regards, Rory

  14. Rory's Development Log #8: The darker places It's been awhile since my last development log. Since then, we had a short early alpha test release, which brought to light many many problems which we're working on fixing before the near alpha test. I have also taken the time to create and implement new content. In the early alpha, everyone was confined in a bright and shiny Konoha. I've decided to open up the world just a little bit bigger. You can now explore the forests surrounding Konoha and even enter some darker places. Who knows what kind of dangers lie in stall for you outside of the village! Without further ado, here are some of the maps that I've created. For those who don't know much about mapping, it's a lot of work especially for tiles on a grander scale than the usual BYOND 32x32 tiles. It's made harder by the fact you have to balance between layers above the characters and below. Luckily, our map editor is user friendly enough and I've managed to complete 5 forest maps so far. This one is a familiar scene to Naruto fans! Also notice how we've added some really pretty light rays for day time in the maps. We now have a time system, 2x faster than the real world clock. Hiding jutsus will work more effectively at night, so invasions and fights in the night are going to be interesting! On to some.. darker places. These are war zones, so everyone is in danger here regardless of whether anyone has toggled PvP. Here is a blocked bridge. And.. a small road split. These are some screenshots of the 4 times of day in action. Night Sunrise Sunset Sunrise You've seen this in the screenshots at the beginning of the dev log. Well now that everyone has seen what we've been up to.. I hope you guys understand when I say, there's still a lot to do. We definitely won't be able to make a re-release within the next 10 days. So hold your horses for a little while! We apologize. Regards, Rory
