Fullscreen camera over 1080p

So after recent UI changes I am forced into playing in windowed mode because a supposed bug with 1440p fullscreen resolution got fixed. I wanted to discuss and show here what the "bug" was and how the changes make it worst for people with monitors larger than 1080p.

 

So this is the view you get if you play the game in windowed 1080p or fullscreen 1080p on a 1080p monitor.
This is also the view I would get before the update on my 1440p monitor playing at 1440p (which was a bug apparently)

 

Now if you have a monitor over 1080p here is what fullscreening the game in any resolution looks like.

It gives the camera extra zoom.

 

Here is an approximate example of what the zoom is like compared to 1080p normal view

 

As someone that got used to playing with the 1080p view, getting used to playing zoomed in this much is impossible.

So now I must play like this to keep the same vision. But playing fullscreen was so much better...

 

So here  I am wondering if getting the view most people use (since 1080p is the most popular), even on monitors over 1080p would be possible for fullscreen. Really miss playing fullscreen and didnt find a way to keep the same vision while going fullscreen with my current 1440p monitor.

I know there are ways to see super far by having a bigger monitor which is still doable by using the windowed modes for these resolutions but this is not what I am asking for. I just want to be able to play as if I had a 1080p monitor on my 1440p monitor.

As a new player, I didn't even know the more zoomed out view was even possible. Explains why I've been attacked from people off my screen. They see me, but I don't see them... Seems like a detriment to play on a higher resolution monitor.
