This jutsu should get a rework, I believe that the melee for Gentle Fist should be more unique much like how the melee for Fan and Bubble are. Right now the melee for Gentle Fist is basically a longer duration Chakra Scalpel.
GF is all about hitting really hard so I think that the melee should hit hard too. It even says in it's description that it does "internal damage to vital organs" so you would expect it to hit quite hard.
Since the base melee speed for fists is 0.6 seconds, I suggest that the Gentle Fist melee buff changes your base melee speed to 1.2 seconds which is basically twice as slow, but the melee would scale twice as much. So if before you were doing 20 damage with melee now you would be doing 40 damage, except your melee would be twice as slow.
I think this would be a good way to give GF melee more relevance since currently it is a better option to use a sword than to cast the melee buff.
